New atomizers, does it mean bad vapor production and no throat hit every time?

I love the forum here. thanks. I do have a question about technique. i change atomizers and get really crappy hits until it seems to be "broken in". same e liquid, same battery, what gives? I have been cleaning the atomizers, and so far, nothing but good results. lots of spares so i am never in a hurry, always let them dry for a couple days. but this has me baffled, which admittedly, isn't too difficult. why do they not produce good throat hits or decent vapor plumes when I switch to a new atomizer? Is it just part of the gig, gotta live with it?

Using LR atomizers on an Ego, with excellent juice. At first I blames the juices, but it happens only with the new atomizers.

thank you in advance.

Are you using the standard Ego C atomizers with tank tip thing? I moved away from those a LONG time ago. I only use tank atomizers like the Vivi nova and they blow the standard Ego C things out of the water.

Actually the last time I tried the regular Ego C ones I went through 5 brand new ones and they were ALL awful.
