The ease of build is very important to me. Because the plumes have a lot of air flow options I realized that I'm definitely a dual coil type of guy.for flavor and cloud options, the Dark Horse would be first recommendation. then the Hobo. Both have several air optinions. Hobo is hardest to build on IMO.
Literally, if you pick any of those, you're gonna be satisfied. you know though, if you throw down 30$, you can pick 3 clones from fasttech...just sayin.
Not only that but lately I've been making a lot of pretty advanced coils, anything from simple clapton coils to stapled tiger coils so the more room I have for building the better. I saw the inside of Hobo and it does look tiny so that one is off the list.
I'm not getting any authentics so I was thinking about picking up like 3 or 4 different ones off eBay. I heard some bad things about fasttech. You guys ever had any problems ordering from them?
I hear you. And good explanation about the dark horse. That makes me take that one off the list too most likely. I'm after options when it comes to air flow and if it's limited like you say then it's not something I'll consider.dark horse atty is poop. the giant widebore driptip and the inability to restrict the airflow much paired with a shallow juice well is just outdated and outperformed by newer attys now.The mutation X can be good for flavor and clouds if you get the V1 with the straight topcap fins, because with that you can restrict airflow to one hole on each side and get better flavor from dual coil builds. The others I have no experience with but if you are going to get a new atty id suggest getting one that has a wide range of airflow (tight restricted to wide open), and one with a interchangeable driptip, I find myself using my 'big widebore driptip' only attys less and less, because of the fact that im not able to use a 510 drip tip on it if I dont want to wrap my lips around a giant tube tip.
I got 2 chuff enuff caps and almost never use them because it's too much air flow and it takes away from flavor quite a lot.
I'll look into it dude. Thanks.I'm loving my El Cabrón RDA for the flavor vapor combo. I usually vape it 3/4 closed off and it still puts out great clouds with real good flavor. Not to mention the authentic is only $60.
Good info. Thanks dude. The only difference between a doge v1 and v2 is the post size. The top cap parts are interchangeable. If you want flavor use the original top cap with a wide bore 510 drip tip. The 1/2 inch "comp" cap is just for cloud chasing. That being said the doge is basically a Tobh that a local shop owner I know redesigned with a one piece deck/ neg posts after having several tobh posts break and a bit deeper well. It's a good atty with lots of options.
Will check them out. Thanks dude.1. Mephisto
2. CLT V3
That convinces me. I've had the same exact problems with both plumes I had. V1.5 that I fried and v1 that I'm still using are both a PITA to screw down. I've already stripped the screws on them and had to redo coils a countless amount of times cause the screws crushed the wire. Especially since nichrome is softer than kanthal.Well just speaking on the particular ones i have.
Plume is rather hard to get the wires secure , constantly either crunching them or they're not secure enough.
Plume sounds loud and the time from my wick getting dry to going dry is very short.
Vertex even with same type of build and wicking and same watts and same juice gives me more vapes and more vapor and better taste and the wicks seem to take longer going from getting dry to actually being dry. Not that i take it to dry if you get my point.
When first using the vertex I was waiting for it to get a bit dry and go add juice but it kept going. Plume would have got dryer then harsh.
Vertex for me is more airy but it doesn't make you feel like if your wick gets too dry then instant harshness like the plume.
I love the airflow options on the plume veil but I'm skeptical of getting another one for the reasons mentioned above. So I want something sturdy and that tightens down well without stripping the screws. I'm pretty hard on my attys and want to be certain that the wires on there nice and tight. Especially since I'm often doing coils made up of 3 wires. So the screw and post quality is very important to me and I've had nothing but pain with plume veils in that department.
Put it that way - I've finally put my Atlantis tank away for good because of the fact that I flew through a whole bottle of cereal killa in one week because of how inefficient that tank is. I like it and it's convenient but that's about it. I'm better off dripping it couple times and be satisfied rather than waste juice in that tank. So in other words no tanks for me dude.I will say and its my first dual coil tank and seems your after a dripper and I've only been using it for an hour or so.
This Youde goblin tank is brilliant.
Thanks dude. I'll look into that one too. And don't feel bad cause you're not that guy. The more options as far as attys are concerned the betterI hate being the guy that recommends something thats not on your list...but look into the Aeolus RDA. It's amazing. Nice airflow, great flavor and plenty of vapor. It has a deep juice well and the air comes from the top...making it very leak resistant. It's my new favorite...it even bumped the Marquis from the top spot in my rotation.
Of the attys you mentioned...I'd say the tugboat. Tugboats are just plain great attys.
