Well, I have to say it. I am not a happy camper. I have owned the older style V4L auto pt and loved it. Like others, I wore it out and was happy to see the new version that should take care of the problem of the wire breaking, and then I could enjoy my pt again.

Well, I ordered one a week ago last friday. When I got it I was surprised at how hard the draw was. Three hard draws before I got anything, then after one good draw, another three hard ones! 8-o I worked with it for nearly a week, gave up, and told V4L that it was a dud and had them send me a new one.

I got it today. This one I have tried over and over, and nothing. Used on the laptop, and the 5v adapter plugged into the wall outlet. I can take the same carto, put it on any other battery or manual pt and it draws great.

I don't know if it's because of the extra long wire/cable or if I got another dud, but I am very disappointed. I really, REALLY, prefer autos and now it looks like they are no longer an option for me.

My jaws hurt too much to try this again.

Are your adapters capable of 2000 mAh?

Strange! I just got a manual from V4L and the draw is easy. Are you using the cartos from V4L? Or from some other supplier? There are no holes in the manual.

I use nothing but V4L cartos. I don't understand what it could be! Its hard to imagine two PT's, sent a week apart, are both bad, but what else could it be?

My (old style) manual works just fine, but the new auto just isn't cutting it. Real bummer too!

I have 27 batts. Some draw hard, some draw aery, I must be lucky because if any one of 'em was my only batt I'd be OK. They really are all a little different. I fel like I'm playing musical wind instruments - I mean, a trumpet will really rev you up, and a flute requires delicacy...

I think I'm strange. No, I know I'm strange.

I've got one of the new auto PTs and it's workin' fine for me, on a 2000ma adapter.

It's got big holes and is too airy with many cartos, but a ring of condom works great at
regulating the airflow.

Some of the premo carts don't work well on it though, which is strange because I thought
they were designed for each other.
