Not sure if these have been brought up before but one of my local b&ms just got these in 34d2ff695de9540cfa28deb9e81a5aedad3d24cb_medium.jpeg
Anyone know how good these are? They're selling for 15$ and apparently is a 2000mah 40A battery. Going to look for more specs but if anyone has experience with these and cares to compare them to say efests or sonys I would welcome it lol
They are by vaporcells and called vamped

"The Vamped 18650 40 amp battery is 2000 mAh and packs a powerful punch pulse of 40 amps. A pulse rate is no longer than 60 seconds." - which, makes it directly comparable to... nothing I'm aware of.

Granted... we do "pulse" our batteries... but other batteries have much higher current rated, albeit much shorter duration pulse figures. As Vamped don't actually list the continuous discharge rate (which I suspect is much lower than 40A)... I'll call BS and say that it's more marketing IMO than anything else.

Unless you can find an objective, direct comparison load test - I'll stick with AWs, VTC4s and Efest Purps for any deep sub-ohm duty.

I guess, in an AR mod, they'd look kool. :2cool:

This is really a 20A 18650 with a pulse discharge rate of 40A from the writing of their CEO.

To give you a little insight on the battery, we are working with one of the largest manufacturer in China and had the Vamped Vapor Cell custom made to reach 40 amps. The manufacturer produces millions of batteries for other large name brand batteries. They developed the custom cell for me, and will not release it for anyone else. My manufacturer has told me we have the strongest 18650 battery on the market at 40 amps, and they have not developed anything stronger for anyone.
When it comes to 40 amp discharge and 20 amp continuous, this is referring to an average pulse rate of 60 seconds. If you hold your button down for longer than 60 seconds the amps will drop to 20. For an average vaper, a pull is no longer than 60 seconds, so the amps will continue to remain at 40 amps. This is everything that we were told from our manufacturer. I hope this can answer some of your questions. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
