So my chuck had a switch problem that kept the circuit closed and burnt out the atty and the battery i had in at the time was a trustfire true2400mah flame series battery...Now i got the chuck fixed but that battery doesnt work..when i put it in the charger the light stays green so it has a full charge but it wont work on anything??? It is a protected battery so i was thinking maybe a short circuit protection kicked in and it is still active?!?!?! Any ideas on what happened or what i can do to get the battery working again?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Do you have a multimeter? If so, check the voltage of the battery.

I suspect that the battery might have had the PCB protection kick in and shut it off and the circuit won't reset.

From Battery University:

The safety circuit is designed to cut off the current path if the battery is inadvertently discharged below 2.50V/cell. At this voltage, most circuits render the battery unserviceable and a recharge on a regular charger is not possible.
There are several safeguards to prevent excessive discharge. The equipment protects the battery by cutting off when the cell reaches 2.7 to 3.0V/cell.

Charging lithium-ion batteries

If you have tried other attys with that battery (to confirm it isn't the atomizer) and the Chuck will run with a different battery, it is time to pitch that battery.

Happy vaping on your Chuck (I love mine!!) :vapor:
