Just about every car manufacturer in the world would go ape for a high-capacity battery that could be charged from empty to full in 5 minutes.


That's the aspect I was calling out, not some ridiculous rate of current.
To wit... at 1A, my cells don't take six hours and change to charge up. :)

They're off by about half. Like I said... Marketing FTW. :rolleyes:
(which I guess would only be ~50 times faster. Gawd... this claim is dumb.)


They don't give any clues, but on first seeing this thread I was expecting that proposed "something something Air" tech to be rearing its' head... again.
As it has annually for the past few years. ;)

Any article that claims ground breaking new battery tech is inevitably click bait.
<Call me a jaded grumpy old cynic> Rather than there's a new tech and it's on sale now, it's always a case of here's an outlandish idea in development that might hit the market in five years, maybe.
A truly ground breaking development in battery tech would be Nobel Prize material.
