I suspect those are protected ICR chemistry li-ion batteries and the protection circuit is stopping them from firing to avoid them possibly venting and/or exploding. There are no specs on Amazon about what the maximum discharge rate is for them. You should be buying IMR or hybrid batteries from a known good vendor to be sure you are safe. IMR and hybrid batts don't vent with flame when abused by drawing too much current.

Here's a battery chart with the common batteries mechanical mod users use. Coil resistances are listed and as long as you stay in the yellow zones you will be safe. Good suppliers are RTD Vapor, Illumination Supply and Orbtronics. These guys won't sell counterfeit batteries and their specs are trustworthy.

I completely agree with Ryedan. In this day of modern battery technology the is no excuse to use protected ICR li-ion batteries. Safe-chemisty/high-drain IMR or hybrid batteries are a much safer and better choice for mods.

Batteries are the one thing you don't want to skimp money on. Buy recognized high-quality, name-brand IMR/hybrid batteries from AW, Efest, EH, Orbtronics, Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, and Sony. Avoid Surefire, Trustfire, and Ultrafire, as well as unrecognized brands. The quality is night and day difference.

Even though not the optimal choice, protected batteries should work in the K100. These do not mention protection in the description, so I would rule them out for vaping. In reading the Amazon reviews, there are a couple that wouldn't take a charge or arrived dead, so I'd return them. The other possibility is that they can't handle the demands of your delivery device, if you are using a very low resistance device. They're priced fairly high, so you can get a couple of the quality ones mentioned above for just a bit more. I personally prefer AW IMR, as they hold up for a very long time and also maintain usable voltage for many hours.

It's good these came from Amazon, easy returns at least!
