I'd like to start by saying I'm reallt new to coil building. That said, I'd like to get some criticism on my first "no guide used" coil build. I'm using a Mutation X V2 on a Vanilla copper clone, with 26g kanthal. I went for a single coil with 6 double parallel wraps, @ .6 ohms. Here's the result:

Major derp on my part! Its reading .6 ohms.

Oh; I'm surprised.

Just looked at the pics: yep, that's a lota coil there; bet you hold down the button a good 5 to 10 seconds to get that thing up to speed.

You do know that a parallel coil is really just and example of a dual coil, right?

I think you should try take out the parallel, and use half the wraps, so that you end up with a 0.6 ohm true single coil at 26 gauge.

The fundamental thing is that you are using a mech with power supplied at 4 volts, so you need to figure out what single coil works best for you at 26 gauge, on the whatever thingy you wrap it on.

With 28 guage kanthal, that's supposed to be in the 0.8 to 1.2 ohm range.
With 26 gauge, it would be lower, so I suppose in the 0.5 to 1 ohm range.
