Good news! My new mini doesn't have a button cover, and I'm getting a callous on my finger:oops:

There should be no callous! LOL!

Lots of people will mash the button way too hard at first when they get a REO.

Push the button with the atty or RBA close to your ear. Push it slowly and easy. Listen for the sizzle of it firing. That is as hard and far as you need to push the button.

With the nipple top batteries it only needs a gentle little push. If you use flat top you will need to push it down more.

Try the push test and see if that helps you!

Yup, tried that, but the edges of the button are sort of sharp, so just putting my finger on it repeatedly seems to hurt my finger!

So, how exactly do these button covers attach? I've ordered a brass one for mine, and I'm curious how they go on without coming back off...of course I'll figure it out on my own...but curiosity is killing this cat ;)
There pressure fit you will find a small piece of string in the bag with the button . Put your button in the off potion Place the string on top of the existing button and press it on

Boy I thought I was smarter than that. I couldnt figure out how to get the string around the button. Never dawned on me to put it over the top so I used some thread tape. Geeezz...anyway, thread tape works also, lol

Thanks for the clarification!

Sorry, but again with the curiosity... :)

What material is the string made from? I assume it's something along the lines of polyester or nylon?
