Good point. And we are talking about 4/10ths of a gram difference in 30 ml.

Yup with reference to botboy's guide,
  • Weight of PG: 1.038 grams per ml
  • Weight of VG: 1.26 grams per ml
  • Weight of Pure Nicotine: 1.01 grams per ml

  • Weight of 100mg in PG: 1.035 grams per ml

  • Weight of 60mg in PG: 1.03632 grams per ml

  • Weight of 50mg in PG: 1.0366 grams per ml

  • Weight of 48mg in PG: 1.036656 grams per ml

  • Weight of 36mg in PG: 1.036992 grams per ml

  • Weight of 24mg in PG: 1.037328 grams per ml

  • Weight of 100mg in VG: 1.235 grams per ml

  • Weight of 60mg in VG: 1.245 grams per ml

  • Weight of 50mg in VG: 1.2475 grams per ml

  • Weight of 48mg in VG: 1.248 grams per ml

  • Weight of 36mg in VG: 1.251 grams per ml

  • Weight of 24mg in VG: 1.254 grams per ml
100mg/ml in vg would weigh 1.235g/ml whereas 100mg/ml in 50/50 pg/vg would weigh roughly 1.135g/ml

When I set up Nicotine in the ingredients it will not display any percentages when I try to use it in a recipe. Any suggestions or fixes?
Not sure what you are asking.
If you are referring to the fact that it doesn't have a manual percentage field/box immediately to the right of the "name" field; then you are correct. It is not supposed to. It is controlled by the "target nicotine" field right above the "amount to make" field.
Continue to look across the nicotine line and you should see values in the remaining fields (Inv, PG%, VG%, ML, WT/GR, and Total %). Adjust the Target nicotine value and you should see these values change. The only other thing that will alter these values would be if you are using "PG," "VG,", or "Flavor" ingredients in the recipe that you have assigned a nicotine value to as well.

I think I figured it out. In the bottom of the ingredient section where it says Nicotine Level.. I was putting a value of 100 for the mg/ml. I changed the value to 0 and it now displayed all the drops ,% , Ml,grams, total. When I changed the value to 0 it displayed all values as supposed to. I'm not real sure what the section Nicotine level means though. What value is supposed to go in that field?

The "Nicotine Value (mg/ml)" field IS for the strength (undiluted) of your nic base. If you are using 100mg/mL nic base then you would enter "100" in the Nicotine Value field.

What do you have the "Target Nicotine" set at in the recipe?

I'm sorry idjoel,, I meant the Nicotine Level. My target nicotine is at 8mg/ml
My bad! Yet another typo on my part (sorry). I typed "Nicotine Value" should have been "Nicotine Level."
Read again as:
The "Nicotine Level (mg/ml)" field IS for the strength (undiluted) of your nic base. If you are using 100mg/mL nic base then you would enter "100.00" in the Nicotine Level field.

Sorry I am jumping into the conversation a little late but I am not sure I understanding what problem you are having. From what I am seeing in the screenshot you have a nicotine ingredient called "Nicotine 8mg" and you are making a recipe and asking for a target nicotine of 8mg. Based on the resulting values of your recipe the "Nicotine 8mg" must be defined with a "Nicotine Level (mg/ml) of 100. All of the results I am seeing in the screen shot looks as-expected. The only thing a little misleading to me is the name of your nicotine ingredient. Based on the name of the ingredient "Nicotine 8mg" it implies that the level of your base nicotine is 8mg (instead of the 100mg).

What am I not understanding?

Hey HotRod19579, would you kindly tell me what the minimum requirements are for this program to run? Thank you very much.

A machine running Windows with the MS .Net Framework 4.0. I have intentionally prevented using later versions of the .Net framework so that users running Windows XP can use the application. XP does not support the later versions.
