I found something new to me. Making a couple new recipes I went to print to PDF and saw I could "Send to Kindle". So, I did that. Saves a step of uploading a PDF to Google and then downloading. Amazon has a program that installs on your computer and you can upload directly to Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle

Anyway, not really about the calculator just a tip for anyone like me who doesn't have a printer or computer near the mixing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The only problem I've ever had with this program was that I couldn't use my Kindle for portability, but it is so much better than the one I'd had on my kindle. I was just making my nicotine base today and having to scribble the amounts down since I prefer to do that by the sink. And even when I'm using my tray table this will free up a bunch of space.

Hello Everyone, I was adding some flavors that already have on several occasions and notice that the amount of flavor increases fine but how much I paid for the flavor does not so I have to add it in and save but I do not know how that affects the cost per batch formula, I love seeing the cost per batch but I do not know how to keep it very accurate unless maybe I need to add the same flavor with a number behind it with its cost seperate or maybe a second inventory that I only to the calculator when I use up the previous.. I would appreciate any ideas of ways you all do it. I am alsp keeping my eyes peeled for that HotRod Calculator Banner :) It would be a Great advertising tool as well! Thank you all in advance!

I've asked Hot Rod about this, and it's on his to-do list. Unfortunately it may be a while because, from what I understand, he needs to completely rebuild the inventory code to do this.
The workaround is each ingredient has 2 identifiers - Name and Manufacturer. You can give the ingredient a different manufacturer code, or each ingredient a different price code, attached to the name of the ingredient or manufacturer to identify your cost. Unfortunately for now, this can't be done with the Vendor info. What I've done for now is make a note in the Notes section with Price 1, Price 2, etc. listing the inventory amounts for each ingredient and adjusting the price when the inventory hits a certain level.

Thank you CrazyChef, Yes I believe I will just Make the note as you mentioned and I have been lucky on several because I have not used any yet so it didn't effect them as I just added to 2 prices together and saved so it would then just base cost on the average of the cost of the different bottles as a whole. I Love this calculator and turn people on to it all the time. HotRod must be a Saint! He is always helping us all enjoy our addiction... I mean Hobby with all of his fast updates and goes above and beyond to help people understand their questions. Thank you for all you do for us HotRod!

Ok I see now. This is an awesome program. I am just getting started but the inventory tool has done wonders. I do have one more question though (May not be program related). Most likely it is user error in knowledge but when I looked up a recipe it did not come out the way I thought it would on the calculator (I have not made it yet I just mean the calculations). The Recipe is listed as a 50/50 blend with 13.33% of PQ Dilutant for a 30ml batch. But when I play with the calculator I cant get both of those variables to work. What am I missing here?

Your flavoring percentages don't match. From the one flavoring I can see in your calculater, I see Juicy Peach at 3%, whereas the recipe on the left shows 10%. Also, if your PG is not the exact same MG as the one on the left (36mg), your percentage will differ, as seen between the two. The calculator will adjust PG and VG levels to ensure you stay at 50/50 since you set that as your preference.

    Hey All
I got a nice package from Bull City vape with my first order of flavors. I've been putting them in to the calculator and all is going fine except I can't seem to list a Manufacturer. I've typed in Flavour Art, Flavor Apprentice, etc. and I get an Error Message "Invalid Manufacturer Selected" The only option I can put is "None". I ended up putting the Manf. in the ingredient name.

    Thanks for any direction!

Has anyone else noticed a glitch with the amounts when subtracting from inventory?

Example: I was just making a recipe from a flavor base. I had 15mL of flavor base to start. Then I added 15.8% of base to make a 30mL bottle of juice, which was 4.74mL. I click to subtract from inventory and now it says I have 11.56mL of base remaining. Shouldn't that say that I have 10.26mL remaining?

Can't say that I've ever noticed anything like that...1.3 MLs is a lot to be off for whatever reason....I may have had this happen but I've not noticed it if I have.
Maybe someone has an answer for you!!

I will also check it out and see if I can find anything.

I setup a recipe just as you described, 30ml calling for 15.8% of a flavor base with the flavor base having 15ml in inventory. When I reduced the inventory it showed 10.26 just as expected.

Do you see this happen all of the time? Can you make it happen?
