I add append a * to the end of the name of the flavor. That works better for me, as then I will see it when building a recipe and not just in the ingredients window.

Absolutely amazing software Hotrod. I use it all the time. The only feature I have run in to that would be nice to have would be the ability to keep the print window open when you go to a different recipe. Then you could print the labels for more than one recipe at a time instead of reloading the sheet of labels for each print job. Minor for sure, but would be a nice feature.

Note: importing a single new recipe file adds a new instance of existing flavors that can't be easily deleted.

Did you mean the "Print Labels advanced" window? If so, I made a change to leave it open and it will be available in the next version that I post.
check out this post, as it may help with the various names of the same ingredient. i just went thru and cleaned up a bunch of recipes.

i am not a fan of the mouse and i like to keep my fingers on the keyboard whenever possible.
is there any chance that the "add ingredient" field could have a tapped key combination (such as ALT+I or CTRL+I) that would get me back to that field after entering an ingredient? i find that after i add a new ingredient i have to mouse click the 'add ingredient' field to make it active again.

I have a thing for '57 Tbirds
A cousins husband restored Tbirds as a "hobby" - two of them won National and International awards.
Even with a family discount it was out of my price range.
Thank you for this calculator. I've used and tried others and this one is the winner for me. I appreciate all the effort you've put into it and your responsiveness to requests and ideas.
It should come with a warning about the 'shopping list' function though. It's great to quickly flag what flavors I want to reorder as I mix, but I keep seeing recipes that are interesting but I'm missing a flavor by a specific vendor that's identified as a key component.. It's too easy to keep track of flavors I want to add to my stash!
I have downloaded this recipe calculator and it looks great! However, I seem to be having a problem. I premix my nicotine to 24mg 50/50 and just add my flavors. How would I go about setting this up to work for my needs. I just can't seem to get it right. The precedence feature seems to be causing the problem. Since I can't turn it off it wants me to add either extra vg or pg. And it would be nice be able to delete the pg and vg options from the recipe if one chose to. Since making a premix means I would have to add my own information it would be easier to just choose my desire nic mix base with the pg/vg ratio already added and put in the total flavor percentage. Thanks

flavor 1 -1.0ml
flavor 2 -0.5ml
it would be simpler for premixed bases like mine if it looked like this
(my name for premixed base) -8.5ml
flavor 1- 1.0ml
flavor 2- 0.5ml
I believe this could be achieved if the precedence feature had an option to be disabled. as it is now if i put 50% vg and 50% pg in the fields the total final ml will be higher for which ever precedence is chosen. I just want them to read either equally or 0 if I choose to. This makes it more confusing for me when I am working with premixed bases.
or maybe I am just looking at it wrong and I am not quite grasping the concept. I thought it would be easier to premix and add flavors, but as I am learning it is much easier to break it down with each recipe. But I now have 500ml of 24mg premix to vape through.

Just make a "new ingredient" out of your nic base, mixed at whatever ratio you want. Works great.
unless I am doing something wrong the percentage dont seem to add up. I end up having to do manually calculated math to get a basic ml amount for my base because of the precedence feature, at least that is what I think is causing the issue. What exactly do you do that gives you the correct results? I am working with 24mg base at 50/50 pg vg and 10ml batches.
Uh oh. I'm a user and not an expert. I know you don't need to do any manual calculations, but guess I don't really understand what you are asking.

In the mid and late 70's - I had a friend named Rod who street raced for cash in a blue 351 Cleveland powered Mach 1.
The name Rod fits the image.
