Found what I believe is a a bug...

When using the "Modify Existing Recipe" option, changing the VG or PG causes the target amount mls to change to what appears to be a very large random amount. For example, a recipe starting out with a target amount of 5mls and a PG/VG ratio of 60/40 goes up to a target amount of 215000.00 mls when changing the VG to 83%. Adjusting the flavor percentages also changes the target amount although by a small amount.

The target amount can increase. In order to increase a percentage of one ingredient while maintaining percentages of other ingredients additional amounts of all other ingredients must be added.

While 215000 mls sounds extreme it is likely since you were increasing the VG level. Most of your other ingredients are probably PG based. As you add VG to increase the VG level you have to add more PG ingredients to maintain there levels. As you add the additional PG, you have to add more VG. This will continue until all ingredients are at their desired levels.

If you will provide me with your recipe I can validate the calculations.

Apologize if this is in the thread already, but I'm at work and have a few free minutes but not enough to go through the whole thread...

I already installed this awesome calculator on my work machine and laptop at home. Is there a way to make the two "talk" to each other? I'm guessing that's what the portable setup is for but it keeps erroring out when I try to install it to my Google Drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Can you email me or pm me with a screen shot of the error you are getting installing the portable version?
If you install the regular version you can save the juice file to your google drive and it is available to all of your installations.
The portable install also allows you to share the juice file, which includes all recipes and ingredients, but it also allows you to share other things such as all of your options (Tools->Options).

Trouble with labels....

I am using Avery 5160 labels.

When I print using the Sample Label layout, the text is aligning with the bottom of the label. I currently have only 3 lines. 1-Juice Name 2-PG/VG & Nic 3-Custom Text: Bottled on: Date
I am afraid if I add a fourth line of text, it will print on the label below. I have checked the label parameters within the calc and they match what I measure with a micrometer almost exactly. Close enough...
I am not using an image. Just plain text as formatted per the sample label.
What might I check to resolve this?

I was able to duplicate the error that you are getting and I found a solution. Here is what you need to do:
1. Before installing navigate to the parent folder you are trying to install in, "C:\Users\ckurthy\Google Drive".
2. Right click on the folder you are trying to install to, "Vaping" and select properties.
3. Click on the "Security" tab.
4. Click the "Edit" button".
5. Click the "Add" button".
6. Enter the name "Everyone", click "Check Names", click "OK".
7. Now you are back to the "Permissions" window and check allow "full control". Click "Apply".
Now try to install to the folder that you changed the permissions on. This fixed the problem for me.

An easier way to do this might be to install the application as normal on each machine. Save your juice files to Google Drive and then open the juice file from Google Drive on each machine.
Cause its easier to run from one Location. This is not an issue on Dropbox.

Not sure if that error is a google drive issue or app issue. I would lean towards google drive. Don't use google crap and couldn't pay me to.

I also use OneDrive and have not had any problems. It appears that when Google Drive is installed and it sets up the local folder to use that it sets it up with some limiting permissions which was causing the installation to fail, for security reasons. The steps I provided above changes the security permissions and allows applications, such as the PortableSetup application, to create folders and install.

Does anyone have experience with the label feature that could help me out with this?

Wondering about 2 different things, one of which was brought up a while back by someone...
1st, I was thinking about mixing a recipe up that I currently vape and thought I would use honeysuckle instead of watermelon in it. when I pulled up my honeysuckle ingredient up it say I am currently using it in 2 recipes. Is there a way of listing what recipes I am using a specific ingredient in? Possibly in the ingredient list a section listing current recipes that ingredient is used in?
2nd, Is it possible to add a area for bottles or such? This would help in cost for a recipe. I guess it can be added under the same type as H2O but would actually like it to be more on the order of something like nicotine where it wouldn't be sitting in the middle of the normal ingredients when looking at a recipe during mixing. It would also be nice to have them (bottles of various sizes) being tracked in the inventory the current program is able to do.

In the Edit menu choose "Search for Recipes" and you can search by ingredient (or multiple ingredients) and the recipes containing that (or those) ingredients will be shown on the right. If you then click on the recipe on the right it will be loaded into the main recipe window.
