I've wanted to add a catch cup to my mod but the finishing washer was too big for the top of the box. Looking around Home Depot I found something that I believe looks and works great.

The 510 connector is a perfect fit in the sweat tube so it's an easy mod to cut it down to fit whatever mod you want to install it on.

Sorry to seem to be pestering :)

I use finishing washers not for drip cups, but to center the connecter inside a tube. Trouble is they are very thin. Since these have some depth they could work well for me. I am no plumber, and the nominal and actual sizes tend to annoy. I already checked spec sheets on these....

Since the 510 connector is a perfect fit inside the tube, it's pretty much self centering. I cut off the top sweat adaper to get the depth I want, cut the walls thinner so it's in balance with the mod, and then cut off the bottom section to fit down into the box. I always cut a chunk of delrin and put it in the top of the box for add'l support. Then drill out the top of the box and the delrin inside to fit the drip cup and 510 connector. When it's all together in the box, you can just about use the atomizer as a hammer. lol

I think you missed it he is building a tube type mod not a box mod.

He probably has a tube with a particular inside dimension his first question was what was what were the dimensions. He has been using finishing washers to fit the interior of his tube then putting the connector inside them like he said they are thin in thickness. Example would be using a 1/2 inch copper pipe of which a 14500 battery fits inside perfectly and it looks like the fitting you found might fit that inside dimension of the copper pipe maybee and fit the battery connection inside the fitting that you found. I am sure he was looking for the outside dimension of the fitting you found
