New Ce2 Clearomizers, Smoking, Crackling....Took a draw got nothing but chemical fumes ?

Unpacked my new Ce2 clearomizers pack of 5. Unwrapped it, took off the top bung. Used a needle to push through the holes in the secondary bung to fill it. Filled it up to the top...Just below where the threads go into the coil. Put back on the mouthpiece hit the button and took a draw. All i got was a really painful burst chemical taste nearly killed me....Took it away from my mouth and pressed the button again and the whole white bit at the top glowed red and there was alot of smoke (Not vapor). Have i done something wrong or is this just a dud clearomizer ? Its not the regular burnt taste that happens with a dry burn its like burnt plastic or something....Any advice. Dont wanna try another one incase i have done something wrong. Dont want to break another one :p

Does seem to light up the coin very quickly. My battery runs at 4.2v pretty sure its an ego batt and the clearomizers have a resistance of 2.6-2.8 ohms. Is this ok or is the battery to strong for them ?

CE2 clearomiser pack of 5

Cheers,
JP

UPDATE---

My mum seems to think the first one wasn't as bad as i thought. It was just the taste of cola which was a new flavour for me. But there is defiantly a burnt taste. Opened up a new one and tried a menthol which is my normal flavour. Nothing but a burnt chemically taste and a hint of mint. Feeling sick as a dog from only a few draws so theres defiantly something wrong. It has to be the resistance on battery in some way. Or maybe these clearomizers are just crap.

It certainly shouldn't taste like chemicals...

If you battery is an ego style, it's probably about 3.7 volts, so that shouldn't be a problem.

The "white bit" at the top is the plug, I imagine it's a silicone rubber, and should NOT get hot at all.

Perhaps a defective unit.

It's possible, too, that your juice is dissolving the plastic tube. Some juices do, and the choices then are to change juice or go to a glass or stainless device. I have a couple of flavors I have to do that with, although I don't use the CE2.

Hopefully a CE2 user will chime in.

It's possible your coil and wick could have a protective primer on it, it would taste like what you might think machine oil would taste like if you vaped it, it's nasty stuff. I haven't heard much talk about primer being used these days, but it's possible, the only solution is a cleaning before you use them.

I'm a CE2 user.

Have been since they were E2's.

I'll give Any Atty or Clearo user a Hot Tip. Rinse out your Atty or Clearo with Hot Water BEFORE you fill it for the First Time.

A 2.8 ohm CE2 at 4.2 volts isn't exactly pushing it. But it is getting towards the Top en of what an Un-Modded CE2 can do.

So here is the Greatest, and Easiest, thing you can do to make a CE2 hit Better. Tilt the Battery Up so the e-Liquid pools around the White Ceramic Cup/Wick Slots.

There are a Multitude of Tweaks that can be done to make a CE2 wick better. Too many to list. Check out this Thread for more Info.

I think what the OP is referring to is the Ceramic Cup that holds the Coil/Wick.

If the Wicks are Compressed in the Wick Slots of the Ceramic Cup, it cuts off the Flow of e-Liquid to the Coil. That cause the Coil to Sky Rocket in Temperature.

Basically it's doing a Dry Burn at that point.
