New Ce5 charging but won't work

I recently bought a ce5, my first vaporizor.

I plugged it in to charge, but after several days of charging, the light never changed from red to green.

When it's plugged in, the button lights up blue, the little readout shows a full battery. But when taken off the charger, there is no activity whatsoever when I press the button.

Can anyone help? It seems it's not charging at all. The parts seem to be working, the charger is passing power, etc., but the battery is completely dead when trying to operate on its own.

I'm sure I got many of the terms wrong. Forgive me, I'm new to all of this. But I have to say, my first impressions so far are not great. Human error, I assume, but I'm also assuming (hoping?) that someone out there can give me a few tips to get my new machine working properly.

Did you buy it online? If so, do you have a link? The ce5 is typically just the top part not the battery.

If you bought it from a B&M I would ask them

Most batteries these days have a safety feature, you need to press the fire button 5 times quickly to turn it on or off. This prevents it from firing accidentally in your pocket.

Clicking the button 5 times fast doesn't do anything. I've already tried this several times, as I've read some other sites about troubleshooting, and they all mention that safety feature. I've tried it, but it doesn't work for me.

It is probably an "ego" battery you have for a starter kit set-up. These are usually crappy knock-offs. Try to get a Name brand of ego- Joytech, Kanger, Smoketech, Vision.

Name brands are usually only about $20. Anything much cheaper is probably junk. My joyetech's are running over a year now- no issues.

Contact the seller, demand a refund. If you're going for 2 batteries I would recommend the iGo4 starter kit if just one go for a brand as people have recommended.
