New coil - much less vapor produced.

Hello!

So it's been around two weeks since I started using my vapor for the first time and as it started tasting slightly burnt, I changed it. I simply unscrewed the old coil and screwed a new one in, refilled the tank to full and then let it moisture itself for about 30 minutes before I used it again.

However I seem to be getting much less vapor produces than before. Is there any logical reason behind this which I am failing to understand?

I'm using a nautilus tank with a 30W Istick Eleaf battery on 15W if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance!

Are your connections clean and dry?
Was the inside of the base cleaned and dried when you were changing coils?
Did you prime the coil with 5 or 6 drops of liquid before re-assembling the tank?

Cheers.
1. Yes.
2. No, however there was minimum liquid inside, which doesn't touch the coil directly like that. (As far as I can see, atleast.)
3. No, I filled it up directly. By prime, do you mean simply activating it and releasing the button?

I think that's where I've done a mistake.

No, that will ruin the coil.
Prime by dripping liquid in the center area around the coil to soak the cotton before applying any power to it.
How is there any difference between a few drops and filling the tank? I'm sorry if this is a extremely basic question, I'm a extremely new beginner with this thing.

I suspect that the coil you put in is not exactly like the one you took out.
Read you instructions and see what different? coils came with your tank.
Coils have different resistance, types of wire.

I'm pretty sure it should be the same coil.

The one I had was one which came with the Nautilus tank and the one I switched to is a Triton mini (Regular kanthal soil) and it's a copy of the one which existed, both are same trademark.

The naughty kit comes with 1.6 ohm and 1.8 ohm coils, a minimal difference but still should be noted as on will take slightly less power than the other.

Go to utube and type in the device you want to learn about before use. Cheers.

There's been some good advice already, particularly about checking for moisture underneath the old coil - I always scrunch up some tissue when changing a coil to make sure all is dry to ensure a good contact when I change coils.

Times without number when I have screwed one of my Nautis back together I have moved the air control setting - I'd also check yours in case it's now on a tighter setting than before.

It is possible you simply have a sub standard coil - I have had the odd one, not many but a few.

BTW I have never actually dripped liquid in any of my Nauti/Triton coils - I just fill the tank and leave it for about 15/20 minutes - you'll see bubbles rising which means the coil is priming itself if you do that.

This might be something wierd, but I will explain how I seem to have fixed the issue with it producing way to low vapor.

So I changed coil. Cleaned it totally, bought new juice to put in there (I can really recommend Granny's Strudel if you haven't tried it out!), let it moisture itself for an good hour before puffing, still low vapor. I was fairly disappointed and today I tried opening up the flow to the largest pin and lowering the watts and tried to take some hits directly into the lungs, which seemed to produce more vapor. So I kept it at the highest airflow and took some mouth to lungs drags, which did also produce more vapor. I then decided to lower the airflow to normal and there we go. It produces vapor at the same level as it did before.

Is this common? To me it sounds like it was.. overheating, or something. I have absolutely no clue.
