The idea came to me while laying in bed last night. It's essentially a dragon coil 28 gauge 12 wraps, wrapped around a 1.4mm screw driver with cotton wrapped around it. Then around that, a 24 gauge coil wrapped around a ~5mm screw driver, 6 wraps. The tail of the dragon coil wicking hangs out the back and down into the juice well. It seems to be wicking well, and you have the great flavor and vapor of the 28 gauge dragon combined with a 24 gauge macro/jumbo coil and its additional vapor production and flavor. The vapor coming out of it looks almost like a Quasar. Vapor coming out in all directions around the macro coil, and the jet of vapor coming out of the end from the dragon.
Is this a named coil that someone else has already thought of? I can't say that I've seen it before. I didn't take much care in making it pretty, since I wasn't sure how it would perform. But so far, so good. Great flavor, and great vapor production at relatively low power levels. At 0.5 ohms, and 46W, it's doing great.
In case it has not been done before, I deem thee Quasar coil.
