hello everybody. my name is james and i i used to be a smoker. (sounds like im at an AA meeting, LOL). i smoked cigarettes for 10+ years at a rate of almost 3 packs a day. i quit last year with the help of chantix, managed to be nicotine free for nearly a year, but stresses added up and i found myself smoking "black and mild" pipe-tobacco cigars, at first just occasionally, but now inhaling them and feeling the addiction and temptation to go back to cigarettes again.
i stumbled upon e-cigarettes on the internet (duh), thought it might be a better way to satisfy my nicotine jones and i found the cheapest place to buy them to try for a giggle was dealextreme.com, some kind of china-based site with loads of gadgets for cheap. the model i purchased was called "Health E-Cigarette" and it came with about 10 cartridges. ive been lurking here for a few hours and realized that i probably bought the cheapest piece of hong kong crap available, but it does appear that lots of these e-cigs use a somewhat common design. the cartidges i received were marked with a check-box-type labeling, the categories being high/med/low/no. the ones i got have "no" checked... am i correct in assuming that these cartridges probably dont contain nicotine? upon first trying them out, i did not feel anything close to a cigarette "buzz". can i buy replacement cartridges that do contain a smalll amount of nicotine? i can post up a link or picture of the device i received if that helps at all... i dont know if theres a "standard" size or style of cartridge.
