Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Here are the 4 basic parts to an e-cigarette:

1. Battery - provides power
2. Tank - holds the eliquid
3. Coil - vaporizes the eliquid (consumable - needs to be replaced)
4. ELiquid

Consider looking at one of these listed below.

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery (with variable voltage). They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

You will need to purchase a tank (the juice attachment) with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass & all have adjustable airflow control) are very popular. The MVP Kit comes with a tank but it is not glass.

You will also need to purchase extra "coils" for whatever tank you choose to purchase.

New here. Want a good quality easy to use please. Confused as to what I have to buy with it. Hubby & I are both heavy smokers and want to give up.Help please?
Have been looking at vaperfi rebel? Im in australia so need to know what to buy with it besides juice that will get me through roughly 6 months till next order? Cheers
Hey Renata, they have a lot of starter kits out these days..i was a pack a day smoker..if you really want to quit conventional cigarettes you need a vaping mod that can utilize the E-liquids so you can choose optional nicotine levels.what ever you do dont get the look alike vaping cigs..they didnt work for me,there just isnt enough vapor and the battery life is very short.you will be charging more than vaping.my first real vape mod was a 18650 magneto by a company called "smok" an yes thats how they spell it.they dont use the letter "E" at the end.. and i got a RSST pyrex atomizer.which they refer to as a rebuildable or RBA..for you as a beginer i would start with a Aspire Nautilus.they offer a MINI version as well...you can find them for $21 USD. this type is easy to fill an maintain an holds a good amount of liquid.basicly all you need are TWO 18650 batteries,ONE to use an one to charge so you never go without a charged battery. you need One 18650 battery charger,1 Aspire Nautilus atomizer,1 18650 style MOD,(mod clones are great for beginers and much cheaper than authentic models) and finally you will need your e-liquid(s)..if you are a 2 pack a day smoker you could start with 24mg nicotine level,if you are a 1 pack a day i would start with 18mg liquid.thats what i started with an now im down to 10mg an im happy with that.just google the items i mentioned to get some visual reference.if you have any more questions an no one is around just send me a msg and i'll do what i can to help you out..hopefully this info was helpful..

Hi Renata, and welcome.

It would be difficult to get something suitable to last 6 months as people have such variable preferences that it can take a little experimentation before you decide what works best for you. I'd recommend getting 2-3 starter kits each and seeing which you like best before ordering a bulk supply to last 6 months. If you stick with ego-style kits, all the batteries and toppers should be interchangeable.

Personally I like the Evod tanks and batteries. I find them very simple to use. The replacement heating coils are cheap if you get on with it and buy them in bulk - but simple to rebuild if you want to save even more money. The batteries are not as good quality as the ones suggested by Susan-S above, but are much better than the cheapest batteries, and are nice and small so I like them for convenience. Evod do a starter kit that comes with 2 batteries, 2 toppers, 5 spare coils and a charger, so maybe you and your husband could try one each (though he might be a bit funny about it if you choose a pink one).

Once you've got your 5 posts you will be able to post in the Australia/NZ section and ask for recommendations for specific suppliers, but you can read it now if you want: Australia - New Zealand Forum

Good luck, let us know if you have any more questions!

I think the above is the best advice. Other tanks to consider are the Protank3 and Protank 3 mini. The protank 3 - Kanger Protank 3 Glass Clearomizer - EVcigarettes.com can be found on US Venders sites for $15 holds 3 mils of E -Liquid. If using a EGO batter you would want a- beauty ring- that has a slot in the top for airflow similar to Type B here eGo Sleeve Cone - EVcigarettes.com

A bit of confusion is normal in the beginning, and it's tough to predict exactly what you might like. There are some very good recommendations above, try one or two and see where your tastes are centered.

Vaping can be different for everyone depending on your preferences and tastes. It's one of the advantages on vaping. Try one or two setups from the recommendations, you may switch to another and just use your first as a backup...(it's what we all have done...:))

Read through the threads here to get an idea of what is easily available in oz.....Australia/New Zealand Suppliers also here....Australia - New Zealand Forum
