Well i started with the typical Ego, moved up to a Vamo/protank and thought I had found my perfect combination.

A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself to a Provari. Again I thought I had found perfection. I researched a lot and didn't think at the time I wanted to go mech, so I bought the best VV device I could find. I had a Genesis style tank as well but could never get it working very well, so it kind of soured me towards RBAs.

On a whim I started reading on this forum about how great REOs were, blah blah blah and decided I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I saw that they had an amazing resale value, so it would be no loss.

Well, my Provari arrived about 10 days before my REO Grand with RM2 did. Since my REO arrived, the only thing my Provari has done is check my coil resistance. Even with my horrible coil wrapping skills, I have absolutely no desire at all in the world to touch a protank ever again. As a last ditch to try to salvage my Provari I just ordered a kayfun Lite tank for it, hopefully it will be a decent backup vape.

Now I can see what all the fuss is about. Simple, works every time. RM2 is ridiculously forgiving. I almost ordered a mini but am holding off until hopefully some anodized models come available. Thanks again Rob, from now on when smokers come to me for recommendations I'm just going to tell them to skip all of the crap that I had and just get a REO from the start.

Congrats to you finding the best .....

I applaud your effort in trying to keep the ProVari dream alive :)

Don't worry I'm not going to tell you to sell it .... I use mine at my desk every day .... with a Kayfun Lite (I have 2)
If you get the build down on that bad boy it will amaze you as well. I know a few REOnauts other than myself that really enjoy them as well. Just watch some vids and be prepared to build it a few times until you find your sweet spot .... then its a piece of cake.

But really don't buy anything else .... keep saving for more REOs :D

And ya one needs to start with less before they try the best it makes it much sweeter.
I've converted about 10 folks to vaping in almost 4 years and I've never once let someone start with a REO ..... Although 6 or 7 have landed there now.

That would be like sending a kid out with a learners permit and a Ferrari .... Oh no .... a beater with a heater for the kids till the learn what they are doing.

Hello Drew thanks for sharing glad the grand and rm2 are working for you :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'll get some pics up soon. Having good luck with 7/8 wraps of 28awg and 2mm ekowool giving me 0.9 ohms. Flavour country for me at least compared to the old clearos.

Any plans in the future on doing some more anodized Mods Rob? I'm pretty sure I've seen some pics floating around and they look pretty sexy. Not to say the powder coating on mine isn't amazing as well.
