I'm wanting to start making my own juice. Does anyone have any recommendations, tips or tricks they wish to share.

And where is a good site to get all supplies needed?

Welcome to the world of DIY. It is just that...Do It Yourself.

My advice to you is to start reading this sub-forum. There are many more than 1000 articles written here on just the exact subjects you are asking about. It is fun to read thru and sort the vitamins from the manure... Read the stickeys, the blogs, and the threads... It's all in here.

Good Luck, and happy reading.

I get all my stuff from WL.

My blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice.

Then read hoosier's blogs. These blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives.

Then read Boletus's blog's. These blogs concentrate on formulation of nicotine baces regarding proper calculations methods for figuring Nicotine concentration as well as safety.

Then read Ginger's book "E-Cigarettes 102: DIY E-Liquid". It is a book which I've contributed to that delivers an in depth easy to follow guide in the art of DYI.

I recommend viewing VPLive Vape Team Episode #82: DIY Safety and bookmark it for future reference. It explains safety in all aspects of DYI.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I am pretty new to DIY myself. Definitely read all the links that Danny posted. It helped steer me in the correct direction. Actually, a lot of it was more advanced than I am at this point but I know what direction I should be heading with my DIY experiments.

I found the best approach was to mix stand alone flavors first. This gives you an idea of what everything tastes like on it's on(I found it is very close to how they smell). Then you can begin mixing these flavors together.

All over the place
A few tips in general for the beginning of your exploration that'll help keep you sane:

Keep your expectations in check.

Lean to dilute/learn how to use a DIY calculator (e-Liquid Calculator -- what I use)

Mix small batches to keep from wasting materials.

Make sure you got what you need, materials wise, before you dive in head first.

Before you go bulk size on anything, try it out first.

Mix simple recipes before you get too complicated.

Write down, or log into a file, everything you do so you know what you did. Trust me, you won't remember once you got a bunch of bottles lying around.

Label, in some way, all your bottles.

Get to know the essence of each ingredient you use. Though some liquids may be labeled or named one way, their real-world use may be for purposes other than what the label would suggest.

More flavor does not necessarily mean more flavoring!

Some flavorings just suck!

Don't judge your mixes until you see how they transform, that is, unless you just want to be a shake-n-vape mixer -- which is fine.

Being creative is easy to do, but mastering creative techniques takes time.

Have fun.

Relax.
