Eh, the power stuff is more for the assemblers to have a way to position themselves in the market. All Evolv does is make the board and support it while the manufacturers build the boxes. Personally if I wanted a 400W mod I'd like it built with one really big lipo than worry about 4 20x batteries to power it. I'm sure there will be boutique assemblers for stuff like that with the mainstream consumer LV, hcigar crowd going with the 166/250c approaches. I do wonder if they'll stick with 18650s or move everyone up to 20x batteries.

I'm not sure I understand enough about how Replay will really alter my setup approach with TC, but it will be fun to find out. Hopefully it's useful. It's also my understanding this will be backwards compatible with the 75c but not earlier models. Regardless I'm glad it's finally reaching the retail marketplace. It's just going to be weird celebrating Christmas with presents in March.

I like how everyone is going crazy over these set-and-forget type features for power modes, even beyond DNA.

It's like people forgot about VV.

I set my voltage to ~4.4 on my VV device and forget about it. My 4 tanks in rotation all work perfectly.
Funny, so do my mechs . I see the allure though. New stuff is fun and let's face it, vape stuff has been pretty stale lately. Now we have lights to make your exhale look cool at night? Just what we needed.

I can use it to start a fire when I go camping so one less thing to take with me. ;)

Just looking forward to getting one of these in all seriousness for a backup. No point getting another 166w or 75w now. Might as well as wait and get one of these new mods with the new board.

I'm a tootle puffer too but I love the 2 battery setup for the 166 as I change batteries every 2-3 days.

again, 400W basically has nothing to do with this new board. The evolv president says 'you can't vape at 400W, I know because we've tried it lol' but 400W is meant for a large headroom to make the REPLAY work faster. It will maybe engage up to 400W for a millisecond and not feel like 400W vaping. It's sort of an anti-ramp up feature I guess.

True if you have a DNA75C and update it with REPLAY software, it won't reach 400W. 400W is only for 4 cell mods. 300W for triple cell, 200W for dual cell. And I think he said 100W for single 18650 so maybe DNA75 will get 100W (maybe for a millisecond or something to create REPLAY).

They will make mods with this chip in 2,3,and 4 battery configuration, and lipos. and probably single 18650.

If you have a giant coil build that might even need up to 400W, then you wouldn't have such a huge build in a single or dual or maybe even triple 18650 MOD, so it's not going to give you that 400W current anyway in a dual 18650 and there's no need for it.

BTW, you sort of can vape well over 400W. see videos below, but not only is it just for bragging rights and not practical, at those high temperatures it can start to create harmful byproducts of the metals, and flavoring.

From what I understand, REPLAY's sole purpose is to recreate FLAVOR preference. But I never really thought twice about that. I drip an RDA and it taste great the whole time except for maybe the first few puff if I over-dripped it, it taste great the whole time IMHO until I HAVE TO REDRIP AGAIN, so how does a MOD add more juice for you if you know what I'm saying?

I don't think I will even need this, but I stumbled on this exclusive first-look and posted it here.
I'm not gonna speak on this technology anymore though because I don't really know what I'm talking about further than that and don't want to give misinformation.

vaping at 2,000 watts:
(it's funny too because I was thinking the same thing as many people said in the comments that you can get better clouds from just a $20 TFV8 or TFV12 on a $50 mod). His builds aren't that big though but he said he kills the battery just from pulsing the coils before wicking.

"over 2000 W":

750 watts
