so I've been using my blu for a while now, I love it, but think I wanna pick up something more powerful, Im looking for more of a hit, more like a cigarette, the blu you barely feel in your throat and I'm still craving an analog once in a while. any advice on what direction to go for a new e-cig, I'm thinking the joye-510. any advice would be great. thank you.

Craving for cig is normal, 5 months in, I still do occasionally though I don't like their taste anymore. Joye 510 is good, but not much more powerful than the Blu. If you want longer lasting batts and don't mind a bigger device, try a Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com (click 20% off, about $30) or an e-power.

Also, try different juices from the smorgasbord available. Blu uses Johnson Creek VG juice in their cartos. PG based juice would give you more a kick, so will other flavors once you refill your own.

eGo or Riva kit for sure. Slap on a 2.0omh LR 510 carto (Boge or Smoktechs are great) for driving or when you're distracted and at home drip with either a standard 510 atty or an LR 510 atty.

I used the 510 for almost 6-7 months. Let me tell you that I thought I was living the big life. I was still using CARTS, not cartos. After a while it became a chore to vape. My dear friend typocinnamongrl convinced me to let her send an eGo batt and an LR carto and it changed my world. I've never been happier!

I'll second the Ego or Riva crowd here. Everyone starts out wanting something that looks like a cig. Not saying that these are bad, but the tiny batteries come with their share of room for improvement. The Ego and Riva are thicker, and you tend not to hold them the same as a cig due to the buttons. However, Their overall length is roughly the same, they last about 6 times as long, and are powerful enough to handle a wider range of atomizers/cartos/etc, particularly those that have a lower net resistance (a.k.a. LR). LR cartos, either single or dual coil, will generally provide more "throat hit" you describe as lacking from the blu.

For $35, I'd be really surprised if you were disappointed with the "RIVA 510 - CARTO DELUXE" LF offers. Even if the included ones don't end up being the cartomizers you want to stick with, you'll have everything else you need to experiment with other 510 (the most common) types of attachments. I'd suggest the "dual coil" option just under it, but they're out of stock. :(
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510 I'm in no way affiliated with Liberty Flights. They just tend to have good deals on kits (Always make sure to click the 20% link at the top... no idea why they do that), so feel free to shop around. The suppliers listed here are in good repute with this forum's members, to name a few:

Also, if you're thus far sticking to the prefilled cartos from blue, you can have a lot more options for juice. Some have more throat hit than others, and it's a matter of taste what you'll like. There is pretty much no limit to the flavor you can find... anything from tame vanilla to... bacon. :2cool:

Im looking for more of a hit, more like a cigarette,

The most analog-like experience I've found is a 1.5 ohm dual coil carto between 4.4 and 6.0v (voltage very juice dependent - not all juices can be vaped in a DC above 4.5v without scorching them). The vapor is warm and thick. - To get in to that sort of voltage output, you'll need to start considering a mod.

That said: Some juices produce far more throat hit than others. Getting in to something like an unregulated eGo clone is often the next logical step for small form factor standard e-cig users. A larger battery is nice just for the fact you won't have to charge it so often, but also because they really aren't *that* much different from a standard small form factor - just larger in size and no real learning curve to make the change. - Pair that with a juice that provides a good TH and you might be satisfied.

Lots of people seem to say that nic level is the end all be all for throat hit. Some people seem to say that PG gives a better TH than VG. - In general terms, both of those things may be true, so a high nic PG juice might do it for you. I'm not completely sold on those ideas as worthy of being taken as gospel, however. Some examples: Bobas Bounty from AVE is a 100% VG juice that provides a very nice TH. BWB Applewood provides a stronger TH than most juices and is able to do so even at low nic levels. There are many other juices with similar capabilities. So, looking through the threads in the general juice discussion forum section might point you towards some juices that provide better TH without necessarily having to change whatever VG/PG and Nic ratios you currently use.

Going Riva-510, Ego, or E-power all will have the option of using your blu cartomizers.

You can go lower resistance cartomizers on the blu, but not too low. I'd say 2.5ohm is the max safe resistance. You "can" do 510 addies on the blu, common enough to find them, but keep in mind the blu is only ~90mAh, maybe ~110mAh. This will cut your useful vape time.
