A week ago a very sweet lady came into the store where I work and had her E-Cig hanging around her neck. I was curious and asked her about it so she let me try it. It was wonderful! I have been a 2+ PAD smoker for around 18 years and have tried patches, gum and lozenges with no luck. I ordered The Volt starter package from Smokeless Image at her suggestion and I couldn't be happier. I'm on my 3rd day of vaping and although I can't say I've given up cigarettes completely yet, I've only smoked 2/3 of a pack in the last 3 days. I'm ecstatic!

I have no desire to go into the heavy modding area and mixing juices yet, it's all just information overload to me right now  But I am a little confused as to which cartomizers I can get around the web to work correctly on the Volt battery. I know I need the 808 carto's but the ohms are the confusing part. I'm not unhappy with the Volt carto's and I have no problem with refilling them with juices, but I would just like the option of ordering prefilled carto's from other sites to test flavors and I really don't have the money to mess up and order the wrong items.

This forum is awesome and has been super informative. I'm looking forward to my upcoming journey with E-cigs and getting off the nasty cigarettes permanently!

You don't want to buy anything that is low resistance (under 2.8ohm). You can use any carto as far as thread type goes with an adapter. What this means is, since you have a kr808, and say you want to use a 510 carto, you need to have an 808/510 adapter. The cheapest place to buy adapters is goodprophets.com. Other than that, most vendors carry kr808 cartomizers. I highly suggest buying blank/empties and some juice and filling yourself. It's more cost effective this way.

Welcome, Rissa! :)

There is nothing wrong with using what you are comfortable with. There'll be lots of well meaning suggestions on equipment, try at your own leisure, or not.

Vapor4Life sells prefilled 808 cartos. You can also get empty 808 cartos from Madvapes and Liberty Flights. There is convenience in getting prefilled cartos, but try getting sample size juice from reputable vendors in Forum Suppliers. It's more flexible and economical.

Good luck cutting your cigs down further.

+1 for everything hairball and justaguy said...if you absolutely have your heart set on trying prefilled ones, vapor4life is very popular for that -- IMO, they're just okay -- nothing to write home about (although there are some members who would beg to differ), but none i found horrific, either. and if you find a flavor of theirs you like, you can then order bottles of their juice and refill them yourself.

however, you're still limiting yourself greatly, as the vast majority of other (and perhaps, even better) juice vendors out there don't sell prefilled.

Thank you so much. I have been stalking the threads for reviews and sales on suppliers and it's been very helpful. I'll give those sites a look-see. I did order some small sizes from Joogler Juice today and looking forward to trying those but it just seemed to make more sense to me to order prefilled at the same price and reuse them. I think I'll wait a while to try the clearomizers and such just because it seems to take a bit of modding to get them to work correctly.

Volcano ecigs has pre-filled cartos and they sell the juice to match for topping off. They're pretty expensive. About $12 for a pack of 5 pre-filled cartos. I tried one of their 'tobacco' flavored ones yesterday. It wasn't bad and offered a little TH. The cool thing is that the cartos for each flavor are different colors and are printed with the juice name. You're paying about $5 for the cool factor and small amount of juice inside. Their packaging and presentation boxes are very impressive.

If I were brand-new to vaping and didn't want to fiddle with juice I might buy a pack of them. I was paying $25 for 1 box (5 prefilled cartos) from the mall when I first started. I believe the Volcanos are rebranded eGos and the connection is 510 so you'd need an adapter. Watch this thread for a bit. I suspect you'll get some better pre-filled carto advice. I have a friend that feels exactly the same way you do. She just wants to screw on a carto and vape and not mess with anything yet. Whatever works is fabulous :) I'm hoping to find more options for her in your thread also. Good luck!

The Volt is has horizontal coil catro and regulated battery, your best results for that battery will be other horizontal coil catros
The vendors that I know of for these are: Bloog, Smokeless Image, Nhaler, Halo, Elite Vaporworks.
I have never gotten vertical coil catros to work well on these batteries, it gave little to no vapor and the draw was very hard.
The vertical coils work best with unregulated batteries like V4L's.

Edit: I think you will find her on the Smokeless Image thread ;)

Thank you, that is great to know cause I'm really enjoying the volt and don't look to switch. Just variety. I think I've made enough posts to try to find her on the SI thread now so hopefully she'll remember and let me thank her properly :)
