Hey y’all!

Like I said, I’m a new e-cig user and have only been using it for the past three weeks. I started with the Vuse Alto because it sounded great but after a few days of leaking tanks (juice on your tongue is not pleasant!) and an occasionally nasty tasting, burned flavor I gave up my Alto and switched to the Vuse Vibe. My issue with this one is that it doesn’t taste like anything after the first two hits! I’m so happy to not be smoking cigarettes anymore but I really don’t want to keep buying e-cigs and being disappointed! What are your favorite e-cigs that are available in gas stations and why!? Thanks!!!

Hi and welcome! I sopped smoking with a Vuse cigalike. Tasted crappy, but it worked, and the cost of those cartridges adds up. If you want to stick with a gas station cigalike go with Juul. They seem to make the best product in that category, and have as much nicotine as Vuse so should be quite effective.

Hi and welcome,
How long did you smoke and how many per day?
Why MUST it be available from a gas station?
Do you have the option to order on-line?

What flavours do you like? What nicotine level are you using?

Cheers

Howdy and welcome :)

Good news! Much better vapes exist!
Bad news. They don’t exist in gas stations.

Try online and order something or visit a Brick & mortar type vape shop. Preferably one with a juice bar so you can find a juice that appeals to you without having to buy bottle after bottle of juice you find you don’t like.

Thanks for asking! It must be available from a gas station because I drive ALOT for a living and I’m rarely home so if I run out of juice I need to be able to pick one up quickly. I’m really bad at planning ahead so I prefer to be able to pickup a refill when I need it. Flavor wise, I used to smoke menthols but with the e-cig I like the fruity flavors the best. I am 40 now and I started smoking at 17 so I did it for 23 years... I’m happy to not be smoking anymore but I would really love something quick and convenient! Thanks

I can understand your situation. However, choosing your gear and e-liquid exclusively from gas stations and convenience stores means you are going to be shopping from the worse of the worse products available on the market. That will have a huge impact on how successful that you will be.

The FDA is presently dealing with a perceived problem (real or unreal) with teens using vape products. One of the solutions the FDA has come up with is to restrict or ban the sale of vape stuff from gas stations and convenience stores who usually don't do a good job of checking for photo ID's. So there may soon come a day when you won't be able to buy vape gear or juice from these places. So where does that leave you?

I've been in situations when I didn't plan ahead well, and ran out of juice while out on the road and was forced to buy some juice from a gas station. I can't recall ever finding anything that could compare to what I could buy in a vape shop or online. In hindsight, it was always a waste of my money.

I used to work in vape shop in suburban Cincinnati. I recall a customer who drove a big rig. Our store must have been not far off of his routine route, as he would park his big rig in the strip mall parking lot and spend 3 hours or so sampling flavors at our sample bar about once a month. He's also purchase spare coils for his tanks. You could plan ahead and Google "vape shops" for the major cities that you'd be passing through and buy your gear and e-liquids and not have to depend exclusively on gas stations or convenience stores.

I have to wonder how many potential vapers quit vaping and went back to smoking because the only gear/juices that they tried was purchased exclusively from a gas station or convenience store. :(

This blog should help you find what kind of equipment you should be looking for either online or from a vape shop.

Congratulations!!!
I'm going to have to echo @Eskie ; Juul.
It's not cheap, but it appears to be efficient and effective.

If you continue to vape as a driver, a large tank (10ml) or a bottom feeder device or both, may serve you well in future.
I make a litre of juice for my wife and I that will last about 6 months or more. I make a liter for less than $50.
In 2019, I have only spent 14.50€ for a litre 80%VG base or about €4.00 per month so far.
In the states, a gallon of VG and PG is dirt cheap so the cost per litre could be far less.

I’ve had a theory on the best possible vape for a trucker for a while. It relies on you sitting near a cigarette lighter port all day. Might possibly maybe perhaps even allow gas station stuff to work if you can find 510 connector stuff in one.

In short; go ego system, and use a USB pass through tether when you’re in the cab, and an ego battery when you’re not. USB passthoughs are available mail order China channel for a few bucks. Downside is the build quality is ludicrously bad. Buy several and plan on them breaking on you.

My ideal idea is basically a decently made one of those pass thoughts with a squonk attachment for standard unicorn bottles so you could just pop the top off a 30ml unicorn bottle screw it on to the tether and vape your ... off for days. When you leave the cab, plug the whole thing into a battery bank and keep going.

Someone out there in the wild made themselves a DNA chipset squonk mod with a Lost Vape 30ml Squonk bottle, which they were then using an external power supply to power it.
This is even better! It would get 5v@ a couple of specific ampherages according to the 12v -> USB adaptor. If that could be run through the battery leads on a DNA75 total win.

Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

I'm going to have to agree with @Eskie about the juul if your insistent on a gas station vape but as others have said satisfaction in flavour, vapour production etc will only come from a device upgrade.

I use both pods and my mods which mean that I never get bored and switch style and flavour often. Definitely visit a shop for some advice if you can and there are loads of things available on line too. Good luck to you and keep up the good work :)

Like quickiemart gas stations or also truck stops? Depends on your route and where you haul of course. Truck stops often will sell juice in bottles and cotton of some sort. If you buy an rba system and a spool of wire online you could keep it running with truck stops.
