New E liquid tastes horrible

Can anyone tell me why e fluid I just bought burns and tastes bad? It has a darker color than the other fluid I get from the same store franchise, just different location. Could it be it was sitting on their shelf too long? I went to another store, same franchise, and the guy said its normal it just "steeped". Well. it tasted like garbage and ruined my replacment tank. Even though they have good liquid and its a lighter color, he still said the other stuff i got from the other location is fine. It tastes horrible and the new stuff I got tastes just fine. It is "american tobacco" high nicotine. Does some fluids benefit from steeping longer?

ALso: After doing some research apparently "steeping" e fluid is a misconception. I just must have got a bad mix, and if they sit they can get bad apparently.

e-liquid darkens over time, so yeah that could be it. Some folks may not agree with me, but I do believe that certain liquids can eventually go bad. This is pretty rare though, and I think it is more likely that they mixed in too much flavor. All the stores in the franchise probably get flavor concentrate, nicotine concentrate, PG, and VG, then mix on-site.

I had an experience like this at a local store... I bought a bottle that was great, a few weeks later bought another bottle which was much weaker and kind of strange tasting. I don't remember a color difference, but I bought another bottle online from their supplier and it was excellent (the same brand and flavor each time). Needless to say, I am hesitant to buy from this particular local shop again. That's okay though, since there are several other stores closer to me now that sell the same brand.

I would bring both bottles to the place that sold you the darker stuff, and tell them something is wrong with it. Either they will make it right, or you don't have to shop there anymore. I'd go when they aren't very busy if possible.

Yeah i cant believe how many e cig stores there are around me lol I will have to stick with the one that is 2 miles away, not the one that is a 1/4 mile which gave me the bad fluid lol I was thinking the same thing though, I will go by that place and ask nicely for a refund or store credit!
