New ECF member, K100 thread issues.

I've browsed ECF quite a bit for information before registering just now and I went to the "General Technical Problems" sub-forum to inquire about my problem, but I can't create a thread because I don't have enough posts required. I figure I'll just state my problem here.

I started vaping with an eGo C-Twist battery, like many others, and a while ago decided to get my first mechanical mod, a K100. Everything was fine at first, until I ran into a problem with my Protank 2 that I used on it. The Protank 2 came with a messed up bottom cap that had less than desirable threading causing my K100 threads to become messed up. The retail location was kind enough to replace my bottom cap and my issues were solved until I noticed that my K100 510 threads were messed up. I can no longer reliably screw anything onto my mod without it being loose and or/ lopsided.

I was wondering if there is anybody or any site that has replacement K100 parts? I understand that everything is press-fit on a K100 and that I can knock out the top cap of my K100 and put in a properly functioning top cap if acquired. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

same problem, finally got an email that says we have to post five times here due to spam, so i guess i can make 5 dummy posts and then post where i need to so i dont get griped at...

Yeah, I've tried all major e-cigarette vendors I could think of. I purchased mine at a retail location and, unfortunately, they don't cover my problem because it is believed to be user-error. I baby the heck out of expensive things and I promise my problem wasn't due to misuse of the product.

HoosierVapes has the K100 and K101 mods for as cheap as I've seen them online, but I was hoping I didn't have to resort to purchasing a brand new device to solve my problem. Thanks for your help, it's late here in California and I appreciate you responding.

I saw a FS ad on the local Craigslist for a K101 + Trident RDA for $40, so maybe I will end up going that route if I have to buy the entire mod. I figure I might as well get an RDA and some more spare parts out of the purchase.

Just a thought, but you might try to get a 510 to 510 adapter, get it seated onto the k100 and superglue it in place... Might solve the wobbly problem, might not... But, since the K100 is buggered up anyway what's to lose?

Worked on my Vamo after I buggered up the threads from having it drop 4' to a tiled floor from my shirt pocket... A couple drops of superglue onto the 510 adapter solved the prob nicely...

Huh? A while ago I started with eGo C-Twists. I then moved to my K100, which IS a mechanical mod. This thread is about how my threads got messed up.
That was a spammer that made that comment my friend, the whole reason why there's a limit on where new people can post when they join up now. Imagine that type of automated commenting everywhere :D
Sucks that it's the newbies that have to suffer the spammers the most though...

I don't know about your K100, have you reposted in other sub-forums since you can now?
