Hello everyone.

Just received my first ecig, the dse801. i have a few noobie questions that i was unsure of. i purchased this ecig from heaven-gifts, and the order so far seems good. i was wondering though, when i first tried to charge the batteries, the charger led was red, after about 30 seconds it turned green, and the battery led constantly blinks green. does this mean the batteries are at full charge?

as well, after a few hours of charging, i wanted to try out the new ecig. i put everything together and once it was time to insert the cartridge, i noticed to insert the cartridge into the atomizer i had to take off a cover. do i have to keep the cartridge in the atomizer until all the liquid is gone? i noticed that i could not put the cover back on the cartridge. as well, if i leave the cartridge in the atomizer, will i need to worry about the liquid dripping out and clogging the atomizer? i saw some liquid on the outside of the mouthpiece, so it looks like it may be leaking a small bit.

finally, i noticed my first 10 pulls off this ecig was not all that impressive. barely felt a throat hit, and hardley any vap. do i need to keep trying for a few more rounds? or should i go ahead and try my second atomizer i ordered?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome! I'll do my best to answer based on what i've learned...

Yep, batteries arrive at least partially charged, so it's not surprising that yours charged quickly on the first plug-in. Depending on the charger, it may be done or it may be applying the 'top off' charge. Either way, they're safe to use at that point.

You do not need to keep the cartridge in the atomizer until it is empty, or worry about keeping the atomizer 'drying out' without a cartridge on it (yes, there are exceptions to this that you'll learn later, but I don't feel it's important at the get-go, there's too much info to absorb!). You should be able to put the cover back on the cartridge when you're not using it; and this is what you should do when taking off a non-empty cart, it will help keep it from evaporating and keep dirt out of there. You do not need to worry about the cart leaking unless you refill it and put too much juice in, or are using a refill mod that isn't quite set up perfectly.

It IS normal for minor amounts of juice to leak out of the mouthpiece every now and then, and as you gain more experience you can adjust your draw technique to avoid that.

As to the experience not being satisfied, there are several variables you can change to try to figure out why it's not good for you. There is nothing wrong with trying the new atomizer to see if it helps any, but do note that new atomizers often have 'primer juice' (perfectly safe, but tastes nasty) that you have to work through before things taste a little better. Other brands/types of juice can change the vapor and TH.

Ultimately, you may end up moving to a 510-style to get better vapor, I do not yet have one but the consensus seems to be that they produce more vapor. TH appears to be a factor of nic strength and adding PGA to the juice, but this is a topic of much discussion. :)

It takes a bit to break in the atomizer. The vapor will increase.801s are smoother and dont usually have a tremendous throathit.Just keep trying and do long easy draws. If you suck hard you will get juice in your mouth.
Good info, the main thing is to draw very slow into your mouth for like 5 seconds or so and then inhale. I've also found that my atomizers don't perform that well when new, takes a couple hours of vaping to get them up to par (some will disagree with this). You made a great chioce with the 801, it's one of my favorites.

thank you all for the information. very helpful. i believe i got the atomizers broken in last night. they are producing much more vapor, and the primer taste is completely gone. i am enjoying my ecig much more now. as well, i was with a group of friends last night, who all smoke analogs, and i didn't feel the need for one the entire night. i think i will purhchase the 510 next and see how i like it. i have found that i prefer dripping versus the cartridges. id say im getting around 10-12 good, tasteful hits with around 2 drops. sound about right? thank you all very much for your suggestions.
