I just got some ego-t tank tanks from eastmall and the caps are different than ones I have before. I think it is a new cap design. So far its working fine. I'm hoping these have been redesigned to address the leaking problem. We'll see. Instead of a hard plastic cap it seems to be more of a soft silicone plug. Also they did not come with a cover like the old ones did.

Here is old and new side by side. New is on right.

@Chornbro, how did you clean them then? I really like the idea of the "soft plug", would make it easier to remove as well as seal better.

You can still run water through them... it goes in/out just fine. Also, I kept extra carts around... I dont switch flavors a whole lot

are the new ones any more resistant to cracking? besides the leaks i had quite a few crack--i often hold my PV by the teeth if i need to use my hands. with the tanks (besides the fact that it leaked and clogged so easily) the cracking tips with the small plastic piece so easy to lose or inhale it was just one more reason i gave up on them.

Those are the same tank caps that bauway is making(I'm sure all companies are by now)
I have them on my Bauway Ego iTank(from cdnvapor) been using them for over 30 days now.
Never have had a cap come off in the Atty.
They are on there good, I can't take them off with my fingers due to the moisture/vapor on them once you've used it; I just use paper towel when removing the cap for filling or cleaning, comes off real easy with that.
The cap has two flat sides opposite each other which prevents it from spinning and lock it in the cartridge.
I haven't used the old style tanks but the cap looks real cheap and failure prone due to lacking the depth into the tank.
I too now fill with a blunt tipped syringe opposed to taking the caps off as I find it way faster when filling multiple tanks.
To date their holding up really good and I expect at least another couple of months out of them.
I usually take the plastic end cap out and inner divider and use it without them, I find I get better draw and makes it wick better as i prefer high VG ratio juice.

Hm. i cant seem to pry my top off to get to the inner bar. Do you have directions for that? I'm getting really tired of vapor dewing between the bar and the top then getting a mouth full of juice.

Maiahmae, use a paperclip. Just pull one open a bit, stick it in the hole in the top and pry up, very easy, also works to remove the inner one.

BCman, thanks for the info. I fill mine that way too, just didn't have good luck cleaning them without removing the cap. Have to try it without the inner divider. Haven't really had any problems, little leaking due to a wick but that's about it.

I just carefully bite on the end of it and the outer end cap pops out in my mouth, then bite lightly a bit farther back and the divider pops out(careful not to swallow...).
And yes, the vapor that collects in the cartridge sucks, i always keep a cue tip with me to push in from the end and periodicly wipe it out. Paperclips do work as well.
The only problem with filling with a blunt tip syringe is it seals good in the hole and if i push the juice in too fast it will pop the cap out so i have to be careful.

I have tried these new silicone caps.
Totally Wicked do sell them.
they seems good to prevent leaking from the tank for what people is saying in europe.
Honestly i didn't have notable leaking issues with the original tanks/caps but i like the idea of stocking caps instead of full assembled tanks, it's cheaper and when a cap seems to not lock perfectly or do leak i toss the cap and get a new one.
I really don't need a bunch of tanks, just few ones and many caps.

there are a couple of cons though:
- they reduce the tank capacity a bit (as the cap has a part that goes inside the tank).
- it's trickier to take the cap off the tank to refill.

TW do also sell type B tank caps.
i got 20 of them and just 5 tanks.
The type B caps are not silicone made though, they are hard plastic like the original.
