Thanks for your input. I'm going to purchase a small bottle and try it out.

Do you notice a difference in cleaning the coils with high proof alcohol vs. isopropol alcohol? I have some vodka and I also have ISO. I'm a little worried about using the ISO as I've heard of people saying it can take the coating off of the outside of the atomizer (not the end of the world, but I'd like to avoid that). Also, if I were to dilute a VG, would distilled water be best?

I'm also going to look into Decadent Vapours. Thanks for your input, I appreciate the help!

Certainly. BTW, I use the mixing chart that is at the bottom of the 'platinum ice' link at TW. I've found that I can duplicate the taste of the premixed (which is what I started with) fairly well. ("Nick O'Teen" who is DV, made the chart - you can get mixing advice on 'Ask Nick' at the TW forum). I do add one part flavor to the chart with the eGo-t. I've taken empty 60ml Aqueous Glycerine bottles and marked the levels for AG, Platinum Ice (nic base) and flavoring with a Sharpies - you have to figure out the math in terms of mililiters :) but it makes for easy mixing - shake well, etc.

As far as the everclear/or high proof vodka vs. ISO - there are various views but ISO isn't for human consumption and it does leave a film - those who use it also rinse with water but I try to avoid water because it can hide and doesn't dry as quick as 151 proof vodka. I use Galen's - @$12/fifth, charcoal filtered, unflavored, uncolored. I put it in a sealed jar and cover the atty entirely usually by putting something under one edge of the jar, so I'm not using all the much vodka at a time and it's good for about three good cleanings depending on the amount of gunk on the coil before I dump it. I also don't do dry burns on eGo-t attys - some do though. I've lost three that way :) And I know how to do dry burns - have for quite a while on other attys and cartos CE2's etc.

And if you dilute the VG, yes, use distilled or deoinized water. I think Nick uses a 80:20 VG:H2O ratio. ECOpure uses an 83:17 ratio and it is a bit thicker than the Aqueous Glycerin. I've vaped ECOpure on eGo-t's as well without problem. So if you're in that ballpark you should be good.

You are a wealth of information. Thank you!

I was a little concerned about film that the ISO leaves behind as well. I think I feel more comfortable with the Everclear method. I'm VERY new to e-cigs, as I only got my eGo-T just three days ago. I want to get into the habit of cleaning my atty once a week, just so it has less time to get all gummed-up. I don't think I'll try "dry burning" either . . . unless I've exhausted all other methods and I don't care about losing that particular atty.

Again, thank you for your help.

You're welcome Reveen. I've been around the track a few times  I beta tested the eGo-t last December and have had great luck with them. I've had all kinds of mods, started with the 510, but have settled in with the eGo-t now to where I'm just spending on resupplies for DIY ejuice. I resisted the regular eGo at first but saw some of my favorite vets trying them and abandoning their favorite mods, so I tried them out... Not for everyone and I'm more of an atty/cartridge (now tank) guy rather than cartos but there are some good cartos out there now too. I have an ego sized Dual Coil one going and so far so good but the tank eGos predominate. I also have a mini Reo - great little bottom feeding mod (where there's a juice bottle inside the case). And also have a Big Brother variable voltage mod I use for just coffee flavors which tend to be enhanced by more wattage.

As far as cleaning goes - one can overdo that. I used to be a twice a week cleaner on the 510 and it served me well but overcleaning can be a problem too. The best bet on eGo's is that once you begin to taste a burnt or off taste - then clean but not before - at least that's my experience. Also sometimes the draw gets a bit tight - check out each component - take the tank off and puff/draw to ensure it's not that - if it is clean the side channels. Then remove the atty and again - puff/draw on the open end - if tight, then there's likely build up around the coil where the air passes by from the intakes - but check the intakes too.

We can't get everclear in this state without a permit so that Galen's 151 vodka is the next best thing.... if I could get everclear 191 proof - I'd get that - more dissolving power and dries even quicker.

I'm glad new vapers can launch right into pv's like the eGo and other that have good battery life and can carry more than .7mls of ejuice :) Saves money in the long run because we all started with either mini or supermini ecigs and found that out - which means carrying ejuice, batteries or PCC's.... I still grab an extra eGo batt when going out though lol....

Glad I could help!

Sorry, I can't read through all 2463 posts. Can someone fill me in on the state of the art on the eGo-T? Mine would start out great then start leaking down into the atomizer. It was like the vertical wick in the piercing tube would harden or move, so that leaving an eGo-T standing was a recipe for glug-glug-glug down the pipe. Also hard draw very quickly. My juice is VG with a little water, and clear. I gave up on the eGo-T and moved to Echo-E large capacity single coil cartos, which offer 2.5 ml+ capacity and a great vapor. So is there now new info on how to make the eGo-T atomizers last more than a few days? thanks!

Hi Fernand. A general summary might be that the B type/cylinder attys and tanks work better than the A types. Some people like the LR attys better - but you have to have an ejuice that holds up to it or it can get burnt out. Even without LR the spike can get hot enough to cook some of the lighter flavored ejuices - fruit berry, whereas coffee, tobacco hold up well. I find the regular eGo batts (3.2-3.4v underload) with the regular ohm'd attys are best.

The other 'fix' that people have reported as fixing most of the leaking is the soft silicone caps for the tanks - like a $1 for 5. While for a long time I didn't have any leaks - the soft caps fixed when leaks developed. See:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tank-issues/228565-soft-caps-ego-t-tanks.html#post4264406

The placement of the wick can also be a factor. See:
eGo-t wick adjustment - YouTube

... and for cleaning which can loosen up the draw:
How I clean my eGo-t atty... or... Sunday morning at Vicky's kitchen sink - YouTube

Having a few eGo-t's going (ie not power vaping one) can also help as the hotter ejuice loses viscosity and tends to leak. I DIY VG mix using VG that has been cut with distilled water at 80:20, and have a VG nic base - Platinum Ice in VG at Totally Wicked, then flavoring. And like I said, I've had good luck with that. Others prefer a more PG dominant ejuice but usually with some VG.

And, although only a teaser video right now - last I looked - there is an eGo-c (changeable system) on the horizon.... I'm guessing it's a tweak of the spike/wick module... but that's just a guess. There are other things in eGo batts coming out - a variable batt from @3.3-4.2v... and led indicators to indicate charge level....

Hope that helps bring you up to date....

Thanks, Kent. Not much has changed. Check out the Echo-e cartos and the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. They don't leak, they hold 2-4 ml of juice, and they last like a month at under $3 each.

Another interesting solution is the VMOD bottom feeder, it has a 4 ml bottle, and the feed works perfectly, though I prefer drilling my own cartos to the proprietary ones they offer, like here it's using a white Boge 2.
