oh, i was so considering it, but then i found a great deal on a varitube (some kind of lava knockoff) kit from ivape for 40 bucks...it's working great so far, and it's keeping me busy while i slowly budget for the big pro vari purchase. it's a simple little machine-just a couple of buttons for up/down and a power switch...and of course, the fire button. it's a nice step up from the ego twists i've been using and i will swear by because of it's size, simplicity, and versatility. i wanted a bigger toy, just to see what it felt like...and for 40 bucks, i got the unit, the charger, 2 batteries, a case, and 2 atomizers. not a bad deal, and a great step up.
...and now i have more stuff to play with!

i got the silver varitube kit. they're sold out of the one i got, but you can still get the tube mod by itself. they have the new ones for under 70 bucks. the prices aren't bad at all...and the shipping and customer service was great, too. i'm considering getting another kit-this time, the varitube mini.

With the Trustfire battery in it, I got over 400 hits before the battery started flashing last night. It did not get hot or warm at all and worked great in my opinion. I want to try a different battery in the near future. I'm hearing that I should use AW IMR's but I think I will try Efest IMR's first. The AW's are 600mah and the Efest ones are 700. I would prefer using a higher mah but I can only find them in the trustfires that came with the Ego 14500 VV. Another thing that I want to try is a Flat top battery. I think they might be a little shorter which might make it a little easier to replace the battery. The spring has a lot of tension making it a little difficult to line up the threads. Does anyone know if the flat tops are shorter than the button top batteries?

The spring should have tension on it, it's there to not only make contact but to collapse if the Battery should fail and go onto thermal runway. Also I wouldn't buy into the efest IMR being higher mAh then the AW,, mAh is consistently over stated on Batts for marketing and sales purposes, AW is a true mAh, and the best IMR 14500 on the market, and most others are over stated in mAh in my findings. I still cant believe there using a single 14500 of any type to push 6v, and how long will a 14500 actually push 6v for ? = not to long, though most dont use these Batts to vape at higher voltages, I would guess 4.4-4.6v would hold a decent charge/vape for some time but any higher voltage you had better plan on carrying back up Batts with you if your going out for any time.

The biggest issue that I run into with any Ego Type VV Batteries whether using a VV Ego that runs an internal made Batt or a replaceable Batt is the Amp limitations they vape at, where using say a Mini Provari or Reg Provari, Darwin, or any top of the line electronic VV/VW Mod you just get a much better more consistent vape with the higher Amp Spec OF 3.5aMP +++ where as 2Amp or even 2.5Amp just doesn't cut it for me any longer, but the VV Ego type is a decent stealth type unit for out and about at time and there good to have a few in your arsenal at times. I do find I use my 4 x 1100 mAh VV Ego Twist a good bit at certain times and situations but wouldnt want to buy 600-700 mAh units in this form factor myself. Just my 2c

I found a version of the vv ego at a store in my hood. It has the lcd screen and goes from 3-6 volts. It is also a usb passthrough. I have had it for 3 days, and so far, it isn't horrible. It is called the Uno Vapor VV ego. Not at all genuine JT. But it seems to be working fine. I still prefer the twist, though. I'm using a vivi nova mini on it at about 4 v. It's nice to have the lcd screen instead of those tiny numbers on the twist, but I don't know how accurate the #'s are, as I have not tested it.

AW's are good and will do better at higher amperages but yezl has some amazing 16340's..I don't know what cell they use but they supply the juice..i'm big into flashlights and have been in the forums for years..on my quest to get a high capacity 16340 at a reasonable cost I was turned onto these yezl's..I have 2 incoming to use in my pocket EDC (Crelant V31a) light..all the independent tests i've seen show great runtime results..you can't go wrong with the AW though but more info is always better
