I am mainly a KR8 user, but this week I decided to break down and buy an Ego, because I wanted to try it out. I haven't used a 3 piece e-cig since I first bought an e-cig last year, which I ended up getting frustrated over, because of battery issues So, I have a couple questions.

What is the right amount of drops to fill a cartridge with? It seems that no matter how many I use, I have to top off every 30min-1 hour, which doesn't seem very good for while traveling, or just driving around. Would a mega atomizer and one of the mega carts which supposedly hold 2.5ml be a better option than the regular carts? I am used to using cartos on my KR8 and they last a good long time, before needing to be topped off for me.

I've noticed that when changing flavors/carts most of the time the previous flavor i used lasts for a little while, before it changes to the new flavor. Do I need to use a seperate atty for each flavor, or is there some way to prevent this?

I also know I do not want to direct drip, since a lot of time I might be using it on the road and that just wouldn't be a good idea trying to drip while driving, nor would stopping every 30 min or so to drip again.

Other than these few annoying things, I have to say I do like the eGo. Any help/advice that might help me enjoy it even more would be appreciated. Thanks.

Congratulations on the eGO. I always switch attys when I change juices. If that is not possible, I blow the atty out and prime it with two or three drops of the new juice. You can prime it by removing the cart and just dripping the new juice directly onto the atomizer element.

Hmm, that wont burn the atty out faster, doing it that way?

I myself prefer dripping but I do not drive so it isn't an issue for me, it does sound like you would do good with the mega-cartomizers, I have heard good things about them. I love me eGo and the battery life is wonderful, they also just came out with a eGo passthru you might want to look into for the car if you drive a lot.

I haven't had any issues with the regular atty and keeping juice for at least an hour on my drive to work. The straw mod works great, my take on it though is I fill up the cart first ( half way) add a small properly cut coffee straw and then put the fill back. Then top off till it looks slushy. Works like a charm for me and I vape like a chain smoker ;) I like using the cone but some recommend going without. I guess that's up to your experience but my eGO is great!

I say go for the cartomizers, especially since you're used to them already. However, mega cartomizers for the ego = big pain in the ...., so I'd just go for the regular 510 cartos. I've heard really good things about the e2s, so you might want to read up on that. I'm expecting them tomorrow =D

Hope you love your ego as much as I do!

Do you know if the 510 cartos are as easy to fill as KR8 cartos? I guess they would be, since I figured they'd be the same, except different threads?

They are the same to fill, but the draw is different, more airy, i just bought a Riva 901 instead of the eGo as a new toy to play with and don't need to use any adapters, i love my 808 Ultra cartos and won't give them up till something better comes along !
