Hi All the eVic users,

I just received my eVic today from VaporKings and I charged up the battery in my regular charger and then downloaded version 1.2 and updated the eVic. The update was smooth and easy and then I went through all the settings and then attached my 1.5ohm carto tank and it would not fire...:( It recognized the atty and ohm's but nothing...Tried a different carto then a ego carto and then finally my IGO-L atty and nothing..Tried pulling out bottom post on all carto's and the IGO-L..It counts the seconds it suppose to be firing on the screen but its not firing. I looked through quite a few threads but didn't see this issue for a new one.

My eVic ID# is 212171288 and I see that it falls in the recall ID #'s, But why would VaporKings even sell this eVic with that ID # without testing it first knowing that there is a recall for these ID #'s and they are a qualified vendor?

Anyone have similar issue? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

-Curtis :vapor:

if you cant get it to work contact vaporkings its quite possible they didnt know they were on recall and hopefully work with you. sorry this happened to you sucks to play the waiting game and then receive a defective product!. hope you resolve quick! :toast:

I will definitely contact them...I'm sure I wont have any problem getting an exchange with VaporKings but I will need to make sure that the ID # is greater than the recall #'s for the exchange...Just bummed out, cause I was excited to see that package in the mail today and have yet to hear about an eVic that doesn't work at all. All will turn out good :2cool:

You would think that a vendor would know about this recall. I'm sure all will be fine after you contact them.

I could tell you several things to try/do to get it firing, but prefer you do it right.
Contact Vapor Kings, give them the serial # and Recall info and ask for replacement.

This should be a non-issue as Joyetech is covering the Recall as long as they are an authorized dealer.

I have a recall unit from a coop and got it working. Will NOT fire a 1.5ohm or low ohm dual coil. otherwise it works great.

:thumb: I sent them a return form and copied and pasted the Joyetech recall info along with my ID/series #. I'm sure I will hear something back from them on Monday.

Yup, you are right...I found a couple of old 2ohm single coil cartos I had and they work fine but no dual coil 1.5ohm cartos or my dual coils that I build on my atty will fire...lol...That is mostly all I use to vape (1.5ohm 2 hole dctank)...It's all boxed up and ready for an exchange. :smokie:

Are you using a button top battery? If so, try a flat top. I have seen this kind of behavior when trying to use an eVic with button tops.

I'm using the Samsung flat top battery that came in the kit..Battery is all good..Just my head unit that doesn't like 1.5ohm dual coils
