Hey everyone, I'm Ian and I live in southern California (orange county, to be semi-exact).
I've been a cigarette smoker for 9-10 years (yes, started at 14...), with a habit of about 1 pack a day. sometimes more sometimes less. needless to say, im sick of it! sick of stinking, sick of hacking up gray blobs of phlegm, and mostly sick of being so short breathed all the time.
I became extremely interested in e-cigs after reading about the 'painless' transition from analog to e-cig, and that it should help me breath again!
I picked up a simple 'pen style' (i think?) e-cig at my local head shop, and am very statisfied with my experience thus far.

I got my e-cig before really reading into it, and have not found any reviews for the one I have. I found some info on the company, but the posts were a few years old, and none talked about the specific one I have.

I bought an InLife brand, called the NICMAXX. It's a 2 piece model that looks like a cigarette (albeit, black). It was only 20$ so no major investment at all. I dont know much about it, or any others really, at all. It came with 2 cartomizers at 35mg nicotine level, and I also got menthol cartomizers at 24mg nic level. It is an automatic one (no button).

I like it a lot, and it is most definately working for me to stop analog cig cravings and provides adequate relief as an analog one would do. But, the more I read up on e-cigs in general, the more I want a 'better' one. So, I'd like to know if anyone has tried this particular model, and if there are 'better' cartomizers that are compatible with its battery? Any info, tips, etc. are appreciated!

thanks, and glad to be part of this community!
Ian

Lots of e-cig store in OC, if you want to go into the store and check things out. :) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/318459-local-southern-california-shops-vaping.html That's the thread I saved, I don't remember how updated it is, but pretty good.

Most would recommend eGo type batteries to begin with paired with either Vivi Nova tanks/cartomizer/cartomizer and tank combo. I'll leave that up to others to recommend :) The possibilities are pretty much endless if you move away from the cigarette look alikes.

There are thousands upon thousands of excellent ecigs and PVs out there. Do some research, see what methods will be most convenient for you (atomizers, cartomizers, tank etc). The best ecig is the one that keeps you off of the cigarettes.. period...!!

Make sure to post back here if you find another model that you are going to invest in, as there are some vendors out there who are more expensive than others and will cost you an arm and a leg for replacement cartos. Using one of the ECF Approved Vendors will also help you to avoid poor quality or customer service.

Congratulations on switching from smoking - wishing you good health and happy vaping:vapor:

I'm not familiar with your model, but you're in luck anyways...
Because you live quite close to a very good electronic cigarette store!

Take a little trip down the 133 into Laguna Beach and visit E-Cig City...
E-Cig City

They should be able to help you figure out what you have.
And while you're there you can check out all that they have to offer.

Hey Ian,

I live in Irvine and work in Lake Forest. I like these two (somewhat local) places too. Vapor Labs - Garden Grove, CA and Vape Revolution - Cerritos, CA. I think Vapor Labs has the best juice tasting bar :p you just go in with your 510 PV and they have a couple of racks of tanks you can just connect to your device to try different juices. Also, Vape Revolution has an AWESOME converted hookah that you can connect your own 510 whatever to and vape communally. :toast:

I would also suggest a eGo Twist or something similar to try next with a Vivi Nova tank. Best of luck!

This place is fairly new, but my experience with them is gold and they're only a couple miles from home. They're off of the 5/91. They'll educate you in vaping, hardware, juices and will advise on the proper set up. They're prices are competitive to online. I believe they'll have a grand opening soon...
