I am hoping as many of you have gone thru, but I have been online most of weekend and it's overwelming, well maybe until I found this site! It seems from my reading that alot like the V2, my husband and I both want to quit, we both smoke 1 - 1 /12 packs, he smokes Marl light and i smoke newport, he smokes alot of mine too..... can you give me advice on what we should use ?

But then going thru more reading, I am getting more confused
Unfortunately, that cannot be avoided. I suggest you make a pot of coffee (or tea if you prefer) and settle back in a comfy chair. You will be reading many posts, and be given links to blogs/threads members have written expressing their feelings about what beginners should buy. There are a lot of videos on youtube as well (although many on youtube suggest products that are outdated). I have sent PMs to new members a couple of times with suggestions, so if you would like to read them let me know. You need to have 5 posts to send or receive PMs.
guess I havent read enough, thought vaping was with something like a real cigarette ???
that would be great, I have someone that is using something that lets out smoke and looks like a cigarette and he has been smoke free for months, not sure why this weekend I decided this was the way to go.....
It can be. You will see those devices referred to as "cig-a-likes" on here. Cig-a-likes from places like a gas station are over-priced and often can't be used with different brands of cartridges, but there are good ones available from reputable vendors.
My first device was a cig-a-like. I did not get it to quit smoking. I smoked for 40 years and never thought I would quit. I liked to smoke. I got an e-cig because I wanted a new toy to play with. I thought they were a gimmick. I didn't even open the box for a couple of days. Then one night I was almost out of cigarettes and didn't feel like going to the store. I remembered the box and figured it might get me though the night. After 3 drags, I just stared at it. It wasn't very satisfying (especially since I ordered menthol and they sent regular tobacco flavor), but it approximated smoking enough that I was fascinated. I lit a cigarette and played "puff the real cig, puff the e-cig" for awhile and have not had a cigarette since.
My experience, while not unique, is not the norm. Most people wean down at whatever speed suits them. You do not need to rush this. I believe one of the major reasons vaping works is that you do not quit smoking, as much as finding an activity more satisfying and interesting and smoking becomes a bore.

oh no I dont want those, I know a bit from reading that those arent as good..... I was looking at V2 , My 7's, did learn not to use a company that sends you stuff monthly and charges your charge card, wont do that. Just want something easy and not ridiculously expensive , not that cigs for 2 arent !

My nails are currently too long for live chat.can I ask what type you got ? do you still use them, and I like smoking alot, but with having to go outside in the freezing cold and knowing my clothes smell like smoke anddddddddd the cost of them !!!

Check around and see if there is a vape shop in your area. They are popping up all over the country. Most (not all) carry equipment and e-juice. Most (not all) will let you try out / hold / examine the equipment aka pv's, and sample some e-juice. 99.99% of the vape shops have staff that are eager to answer questions and sell you something.
The Window Shopping comes in here. Go look. Get information. Check out a couple different shops if you have them in your area. Then walk away and evaluate what you have learned. You can do all of this in a short time. If you decide to go back to the vape shop and purchase something - fine. If you decide to go online and order something - fine. The vape shop(s) visit will give you hands on info and most likely will help you make some decisions.
Tip: Please Do Not purchase large bottles of e-juice, even if you think it is the best you've ever tasted. Your sense of taste is going to change when you stop smoking. What you like today, you may not like tomorrow. If you want more, you can purchase more.

As you can see I am also very new to this. I ordered one of the cig-a-likes that Steeljan reviewed on Youtube. It was only ten bucks just to give it a try. I discovered the first day that I "might" be able to vape- but not with that little thing. Ten bucks just to try one was certainly a good deal to me though. I then found this forum. I read and read and then placed an order. Hmmmmm, not perfect yet-lol. Read and read some more and then signed up here and posted some questions. Took some suggestions and am now working with some more products. I am getting closer to where I need to be. Just a few more orders and I will be in good shape-lolololol Yeah right! So maybe do what I did? Just make the leap and start ordering something to see if it works? Good luck!
