OH. Er.. Um. Wait... The battery is for the MiniTab coil turntable ohm testing widget from the DIY V3 kit. Is it going to be okay for that? I'm not vaping with it (though I suppose the ohm meter technically is)

My Mods are a Wismec™ Reuleaux RX Mini Resin 80W and an eleaf™ iSmoka iStick TC 40W and they have internal batteries which so far seem to be more or less chugging along pretty okayish.

Your OHM reader takes an 18650? Lol.. sorry I missed that you had one of those ohm readers..

Mine takes a little battery.. :) works fine but I don't fire coils on it.. I put it on a regulated mod to make sure it heats evenly..

Oh well.. people like spending money I guess..

Yes, that battery should be fine for your vaping ohm reader.

Her meter reads and fires the coil.

Yes I got that.. I wouldn't ever spent money for an ohm reader which fires, seriously. A regulated mod, which you already have, does that just fine.. the regular ohm reader will tell you if you shouldn't be putting it on your mod, but just to fire and make sure it's heating evenly, a regulated mod works fine.

But, thats just me. I don't like spending more than I need to.

Hmm... the thing is, there are so many options these days that it's hard to recommend any particular setup. When I started vaping there was really only one possible setup (unless you got into mods, which were exotic back then,) it sucked, and you liked it (or else.)

Having all the options we have these days is a good thing, but there are so many choices that it makes it really hard to recommend anything in particular, especially for someone just starting out. For the average beginner I might recommend a Pico with a Nautilus 2, because it's a simple and effective MTL setup, but if you're already building your own coils...

Well, in that case I might recommend at least looking at squonkers. Something like the HCigar VT Inbox with a Hadaly clone, an Oumier Wasp, or a Pulse might suit you well- I think it's a lot easier to build on an RDA than it is to get the wicking just right in an RTA.

But there are so many options that it's hard to know which you'll like best- I'm afraid you'll just have to play with things 'till you find what you want.

Just be glad you're not starting with a fixed voltage eGo with 510 atomizers, like I did. They worked, barely, but barely ;). Things are much better these days, even if we are a bit beggared by choice.
