Now see if I was there we would have gotten kicked off that table and made to sit in da corner cuz I woulda kept us both laughing at dat !!
With the Sangria....?is that the way to spell that drink? Anyway with that coming out our nose and the chocking sounds, they would have thought we had gone mad and been afraid to come near us.

Back from the nursing home. Dinner was great. I think it was the best turkey I've done so far.
Made up plates for each of us and drove down there. The staff set up chairs for us all in his room which was really nice. I set dad's plate up on his tray and he looked at it for a while while we all ate. Then I took the spoon and fed him a bite of turkey. Then a bite of potatoes. Then a bite of stuffing. Then a bite of cranberry sauce. Just to kind of get him started (he needs cues sometimes). I set the spoon down. He picked it up. And fed himself the entire piece of pumpkin pie we brought for him and then was done with dinner.

After his stroke, when they brought him his first food to try eating and it was pretty gross looking pureed stuff. He looked at it and dug into the dessert. I told him "From now on, eat whatever the hell you want. If you only want to eat desserts, you've earned it." and he's done exactly that ever since.
