I prolly won't hit 20's til next month or january. Least I hope notFlorida's not like it used to be years ago, it gets alot colder then most people think now a days here. I've had times where we were below zero here, one time for a week every night was below zero & in the teens/20's all day long. Even in the most south areas it's colder then it used to be years ago
The world is a changing even though some peoples think it's not..........

I grew up in New England JJ, I know all too well what it's like at 30 BELOW ZERO for a week or more and snow that I personally could not walk thru without clearing a path first. You don't even want to know what it will be here then!!! It most likely won't be in the double digits! 8-o![]()
I'm no scientist. Didn't even play one on TV but my personal opinion is that the earth is just going through a cycle. Probably the same cycle that it has gone through for millions of years. It's just that during all of those we weren't here to record it. I just figure it is gonna do what it is gonna do and we just have to adapt to it.
I know exactly what you mean, Aggie. Last winter we would have a week of cold days, then one day in the 60s. No one got acclimated and everyone got sick. We also didn't get near as much snowfall last year, but it looks like we'll be making up for it this year.I grew up in New England JJ, I know all too well what it's like at 30 BELOW ZERO for a week or more and snow that I personally could not walk thru without clearing a path first.
The difference is, here there's no snow for insulation, there's humidity year round and the cold seems 'VERY' cold compared to other areas of the country. The temps change hour by hour here and your body doesn't keep up to it. We can have a balmy 80 degrees and then drop to 20 at night. So in actual 'body feel' YOU are the lucky one because winter IS winter. You don't have the change like we do here. You're body can adjust to the seasons easier cuz they stay for a few months at a time. I have no idea if you can grasp what I'm saying here, but our cold 'IS' what your cold feels like to 'US'. I've lived both ways and I fully understand it![]()
