Most lizards need about 12hr light and 12 dark, or just replicate the sun outside

It's normal for his sleep, he knows what time is bed time, and he will come out of hiding when the sun (light) comes on

Crickets that make noise, it's the wings, look for them, you can pull them off, or just kill that ......... I once ordered to large and they were noisy SOB's so I let them all go outside, and just got a new batch I buy 500-1000 crickets at a time and 500 super worms and a cup of horned worms.

if i try to pick him up he gets all tweaky flying around the tank and his belly gets a lot more blue and if i keep trying he even starts breathing heavy from running around trying to get away... perhaps i just need to spend more 'quality' time with him and get him used to it

i have come across that lizzard site before i think i even read that page before. gal at the pet store said i didnt need any extra special lights other then the basking lamp and not to worry too much about trying to control the temps since he came from outside to begin with that room temp + the lamp would be fine...
i will try and find time to touch base with you soon and show you a pic of the setup... im thinking i need to redo it and sounds like you know your stuff and could give me some good pointers and such ty

Pet store people don't know ANYTHING! He needs a UVB light, (prob 5.0) it replicates the suns rays, giving him the same vitamins he would get from the sun, these lights need to be replaced every 6months, they are cheap online and well worth it to keep him healthy.

Temp is mainly for digesting food, lizards are cold blooded (only means they don't provide there own heat) being warmer (correct) temp helps this process. Under the basking light is prob close enough, but it doesn't hurt to check the temp, just like outside, it should get colder at night (not to cold) and warmer during the day...

Those were on the big side, normally feed before they get huge, but those grow so fast! Also my beardies are much bigger now (you can tell from the first video to 2nd, 1st was today, 2nd was months ago. I also had a 4ft green iguana, until he got super mean and bit my face and wouldn't let go! (At that point I gave him to a friend who deals more in those kinda lizards)

Update: I do, the care sheets say it to, and they know, WORSE CASE it doesn't matter (trust me it does) and you waste an extra $1.50 per month for the UVB light... Good chance in under a month you will see a happier lizard with UVB (still might not want to be touched, don't expect that will change)
