Yup - Monday and Tuesday we broke record highs - warm weather in January = bad stuff.
And that's the worst part, kids in school and you just want to be there to protect them. In my case, she is probably safer at the school cause we really don't have a "good" spot in this house to "hide" from them. We have been looking into getting one of those shelters to put in the spare bedroom. It would serve as a tornado shelter and a "safe" room should someone break in.

way to early in the year for those We sure get our share of them in Mo. but not this damn Early.
We Have a storm shelter under ground (stored supplies down there) #1 reason buying this house.
Cell and weather radio as well as Syrians. We be good and hubby is with me.
Only in readiness not stressing.
we had those tornados roll through last night. Take care Adrena. We really didnt get hit too bad. local resteraunt lost a roof was only damage I have heard about. No one was there so all was ok.
Well thank goodness no one was hurt.

And after the Joplin tornado hubby got a little nervous......you can get several different sizes but you don't need "big" to live.
Oh yeah, the girls(wife & daughter), the pups and I are fine. I lived in kansas for 30 years so tornados dont really bother me unless Im looking at one. used to chase them back in high school, when I was young and dumb...
These would be fantastic for here in florida ! Hardly any place has a basement here, as far as private homes go anyways, and we fer sure get the bad weather often enough
