I would so choose World Peace, no ifs ands of buts......

Just like this Boston thing - why does it take an act of such for people to extend their hands to one another? Why can we live like that daily and then maybe stuff like the bombing wouldn't happen in the first place. Off to the Races... Wow.

Back around 1990 (can't remember the exact year), there was an Indy-type Race Event in New Orleans in the Central Business District, across from the French Quarter, that ran circles down Canal Street and around the Business District. I had a weekend night job within the Business District, so when I got off work that morning at 8:00AM, I was In Free.

I didn't get to meet any of the Drivers, but I got to see the cars up close (close enough to touch them), and talk with some of the Display attendants. The Race was absolutely Nuts, because the streets are so rough. Even without any real accidents, the cars got beat up pretty bad. It was quite exhilarating. And I had a great view from an upper level, because to get out of work, I had to take some ramps that were built so the cars had access to the streets. Most people were street level, but I had a work pass, so I had access to two viewpoints. It was great!!!
