In Florida they dont begin until it is dark, at least in my area? In NY it was either as soon as school let out or when mom would let you go on the weekends. I would have begun at 7am if it weren't for her.

I always buy candy that I will eat, just in case. I've not had to give any of it away in years but am always prepared.

... *I'm back*... the trick-or-treaters. They are already starting to get older. At 6pm, the wee kids came out. Around 7pm, the middle schoolers were the majority. Soon, I expect the high schoolers. That's when I turn off the porch light.
