Sounds like you got some great advice here!
If you use a heat pad on low for tonight just put it under a small area so if he/it gets to hot it can get to a cool spot.

thanks max. its prolly 70 in here and 40something outside. cant find the heating pad so i guess thats out. its a 10 gal aquarium with the normal wire mesh lid. put paper towel on bottom and some twigs and a shallow tupperware lid with water in it. oh and the box with a door cut in it. hes just hanging out sitting there now but if i reach in there he goes tearing across to the other side like a bat out of... so i really think he was just cold before but i told dw what you said. if that happens well it happens. tomorrow i am being sent to the pet store so i will try to cover all the bases then.
