Sooo ya see dis here road that my road meets at da intrasextions and I turns left at to go down towns fer da postal units dere had a few BIG potholes in its skin and my automotibes didn't like dem bery much. And da local redneck societys dat libe out here always dribes around dem and dat make the road as wide as kansas in some spots. Well, the other days when I was goin ta towns, I came down da hill and seen the county boys shobelin tar into da holes to fill dem up. I was so exciteds dat when I got up to them I yelled out da winda at dem
I yelled outs really louds..."I LOVE YOU GUYS FOR FIXIN MY HOLE UP !!! " 
I dunno why I saids dat but it just came out dat ways 
So they all started laughings and I went to towns just a singings aways wiff da juke box radio dere in da dash components ub my jalopys. I was gonner quite a whiles and when I came backs the same crew was still dere on the same road except for further up filling more holes....Wellllllll...I habe no clue as to why...........But these men actually REMEMBERED me and my car Sooo I gets closa and then all ub a suddens the worker guys wiff da shobels stopped werking and dey took their hands and put dem to their lips and in such a romantics type gestures they BLEW ME KISSES as I drobed by dem !!! 
They said dey Loved me too !! Sooooo I just had ta blow kisses back at dem and kept dribing. In my rear views mirra I seen them looking and laughing at me 
I got into da house here and I was still laughing and my old man asked what was funny. 
Sooo I had to tell him dat a whole werk crew was kissing me down at da big hole

It's not just Special Needs Kids...It's also the diabetics that have to eat better foods and they get charged more because the 'Natural" foods have LESS crap in them then the crap we all have to eat ETC.ETC.ETC. Don't get me started on all the different kinds of people that get ripped off. Believe me, you're not the only person who gets shafted by what's needed and what's not. I even had a MAJOR fight with my old mans insurance cuz they weren't going to give him portable oxygen. They said it was a luxury item and he had a machine at home and for me to deal with it.......Well, Lemme tell you THEY DEALT WITH ME ALRIGHT !!!........My husband had his portable oxygen approved after that
So I feel for ya babes
GD is junior diabetic (type one) and they try to eat the natural foods and pay the price for it.
And way to go aggie...I could come up with a few choice words for insurance companies!!
We're not diabetics but it's so common here I understand the situation and it's a prime example of how everyday folk get screwed. And yeah the insurance comp was happy not to have to talk to me anymore

If I was smarter I would figure out how to lobby to make laws so the people who need this stuff can get it at the same price as everyone else. I hate it that my daughters wheelchairs cost as much as a car,14 grand her last one cost. Her stroller which is just like every other stroller in the world except that it's a bit bigger and tilts back cost 5 grand! It's so ridiculous and thank God we're poor and qualify for aid otherwise my daughter wouldn't get what she needs, it just makes me sick!

I commend you for being the Advocate you are for your daughter FireWing. It's a Noble act for anyone to take on that responsibilty. Everyone and Anyone can and has the ability to be an Advocate for others in need. The problem lies where No one WANTS to get involved until it hits THEIR HOME or THEIR FAMILY. And more often then not, that's the time when you'll find so many others you 'thought' were your friends turn the blinds eye and walk away from you because they don't want to get involved. If I wasn't a fighter as I am, my husband would be tied to a 50ft O2 line and NEVER be able to leave this house right now. People NEED to take the stand for what's right, hold the ground or you won't get anywhere in this world now a days and I think that's horrible !!
