Ok, people, wish me monstrous amounts of luck. I have some of the cast iron pans pans my sister found me, plus
three my mother had apparently been "storing" in her front yard as cat food bowls (it was horrifying), in the oven on the self clean cycle. Here's hoping I don't burn the house down or destroy the oven or pans. One of them is a really interesting little pan that instead of being the standard perpendicular sides with rounded interior, it is actually angled sides with a sharp delineation between sides and bottom. I think it will be a perfect omelet pan once properly seasoned.
