I have an aga-t2 running some of the ss rope mentioned in that thread and it works very well without the hassle of rolling mesh....
Another thing that some people are doing on some Tanks is making the SS Mesh hole bigger, to 2mm, and 3/32”. IDK how large yours is, or in any AGA-T, but a wider Wick makes for more Vapor.
BJ43 did a study on SS Mesh, and found that 500 is the best for any E-Liquid, but especially for 100% VG, which is what he uses. Then he found that making a very dense, very tightly wrapped Mesh Wick, without a Center Hole, was even better. If you're interested, I'll find the link to his posts about it for you.

Last night I rolled a 70mm 3/32 dia #500 wick with no center hole. Did not use a paper clip. 8/9 wraps 32g A1, 3 ohms. I have been vaping the 70mm wick for a few hours and it is great. No spitting juice without the center hole. As with other #500 wicks, I am finding my sweet spot at a lower voltage than with the #400.

He now uses 28g round Kanthal and about a 2Ω wrap, at about 20W, bc he uses no-nic juice, and likes a good TH.
ETA: If you use that Rope, you could still make a bigger hole.
