Hi everyone! Obviously I'm new here, but I wanted to say hello and thank you for all the fantastic info that's on here. I quit chewing tobacco and started vaping 6 weeks ago tomorrow and I'm not looking back. Every now and then after a big meal I get that urge, but I just press on! and haven't slipped yet. I think I was fortunate in that I found a local couple that mixes their own recipes and sells it for a pretty good price ($10 for 18ml). I am a diy'er at heart though and figured that if they could do it so could I. I started doing some research which led me to these forums and made a plan. I bought all of my flavors (11) and mixed nicotine, PG, and VG from the same place. (Haven't checked the forum rules yet so I won't post the web address). I mixed up a couple different batches today and I am sooooo happy that I chose to go this route. One was acceptable but definitely needs some work, One was pretty good and will only need a little tweaking, and One was downright FANTASTIC! The best one for me was a 50%-50% PG/VG mix, 15mg nic, banana nut bread using 3 parts banana bread to 1 part black walnut totaling 20%

If anyone is curious what I'm using equipment wise I'm using a provari and more often than not use the cheapo plastic clearomizer tanks. I do have an aspire nautilus which is okay and an iClear 30s that I'm testing to see if I like it. I have used a Kanger pro tank 2 which I thought was junk and have also used a viv nova that I HATED!

Thanks for looking and can't wait to continue to learn and hope to be able to contribute some in the future as I learn.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you are more than well on your way. Remember to let your not so good recipes steep for a bit. Once in a while they will surprise you after sitting for a bit. That said, most of my experiments that I didn't like initially still have the ability to peel paint off a wall months later.

Thanks. The main reason I bought a Provari is because I knew that I was going to quit and I read oh so many threads were people had spent 100 bucks or more on crap and then ended up buying something nice so I just skipped the middle man. I will say that my Provari is one of a kind (I think). I had some left-over 3m carbon fiber vinyl wrap from another project so I cut a custom sleeve out for it and it turned out great. Tanks on the other hand have definitely been a learning curve.

Congratulations on getting started on the right foot! You're ahead of a lot of people, so that's a good thing. Keep working with what you have and remember to be open minded and learn as much as you can when it comes to DIY. You can never learn enough when it comes to stuff like that. You will fail epically on certain things, and then again, you'll find something that will knock your brain out on occassions. Good luck and vape on from a former Missouri resident!:vapor:
