New guy from North Carolina! And, I have question. :-]

First. Hey everyone! Been circling this site like a buzzard! Mopping up info, and reading reviews and such.

And I have a question. ..Halo cigs.. Well actually, I'll start buy saying I'm still on analogs/regulars and the only E-cig I've tried where the Blu menthol ice and tobacco flavor disposables. (EXPENSIVE for 1 disposable) Menthol one was good. Tobacco one BAD. Tasted like collard greens without any ham... :-|

So that derailed my path to Blu. Well, that, and also the majority of reviews here, and there, saying there kits had piss pore battery life, leaky cartomizers and something about the vapor quality sometimes didn't last long as it should per full cart. +burnt taste. And that, you could do much better than a, "Blu". (I like how though, all the "surface" reviews on Google only talk good and praised Blu.) <-- that always gets me worried about something I'm researching and gonna possibly buy. (Hence, why I went to a forum... With real people, if you will lol)

Which brings me to the real reason I'm here. Haha. That smiley. No, no. Halo. No not the game, -Halo cigs. View attachment 224413 EVERYONE keeps praising these things. Best battery life (G6 and Triton) best juices! Best build/craftsmanship quality! (for the money.) Made in 'Merica!
Besty best best... Well, are they really that great? That is my question. Will they remove real tobacco cigarettes from reaching my grubby hands. (Pal-Mal Reds/Marlboro reds to be exact)..

If I could stretch my mouth around a trash barrel. View attachment 224417 I'd smoke it... Point bein'. I like a kick in the throat. And heavy body. If a cig ain't dragging', I chunk it. -Tobacco I like. And I like a good menthol here and there too. But I reckon I WILL give those flavors up for my health. There not that big of a deal to me. Guess I'm saying if there's no good replicating tobacco flavors out there. I'd be fine with that. I am mostly looking for something reliable, a good throat kick, good body and decent battery life. (I think I would like to vape flavors like Vanilla or Cherry and menthol. So having no good tobacco flavor would be acceptable.)

Reliability, throat kick, battery life. That's why i had my mind set on Halo. But Halo cigs got to many *great* reviews. On YouTube or anywhere else you look. Like the Blu. :-(

So that's kinda got me worried about trying a Halo product. Are they all paid reviews like Blu? Or are Halo actually good quality E-cigs? I was very close to pulling the trigger on a starter kit from Halo. But, yeah. Nothing on earth is that perfect. Specially under 100 dollars these days.
Also, no need to point me in a different direction. Unless Halo ain't what it's cracked up to be. Cause all I've read about Halo is what I think I want in a vaporizer. Or for now at least. -So, can someone vouch for Halo. :---)

Thank's for you're time and support.

I'll vouch for Halo. I started with their G6 stuff. I was VERY satisfied. I've since moved on to other devices (hey Halo, how 'bout you go whole hog and make your own nifty VV/VW mod?!! it would be beee-yooo-tee-ful!) but I still use a LOT of their liquids.

You probably need to know, however, that I was never a smoker. I fell into e-cigs because after a total gastrectomy (that's right, I gots no stomach) due to a rare disease, I wanted SOMEthing to enjoy just for flavor.

And weirdly enough, I find that pretty much ALL of Halo's tobacco flavors are just exactly right for me. My favorites are Longhorn, Torque56, and Captain Jack. I LOVED Smooth 8 (a ginger infused cigar flavor) and Bella Valente (a traditional big heavy cigar flavor) but those have been (boo hoo!) discontinued.

Bottom line: try a G6 starter and a sampler of their e-liquids. Give yourself about two weeks with 'em. Watch a few videos on how to fill a cartomizer. I *think* you'll dig it.

Also, being a non-smoker, I can't tell you jack about nic levels. I get everything at zero or 6mg/the lowest I can get. Anything higher and I get headaches and dizziness. Throat hit, I THINK I'm starting to understand. I like it when it's there at even a minimal amount, and it IS THERE in Halo's juices, but other folks describe it as being rather light, even at higher nicotine levels.

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough. I hope some of that was helpful!

Hello. And welcome to ECF.

In regards to your question concerning HALOcigs, otherwise known as HALO: they are good.

I started with FINs from Wal-mart and knew I needed more. I looked around various vendor sites and Youtube, since I had heard about these "ego batteries." I was all set to buy a set up, and then I found the Triton Tank reviews, and ECF. After weighing the cost vs. reliability/performance, and knowing I needed juice with the setup (and HALO is renowned for their juice), I decided on Halo and the Triton Tanks.

It was night and day compared to the gas station cigalikes, and the vapor was warm and thick. It was like heaven compared to the poor performing FINs. And the juice, Torque 56, was analog like but still not cigarette like -- it surprised me with a slight sweetness I wasn't expecting, and a flavor I still can't described although it's addicting :) It hit all the right notes, and I love my Triton Tanks. The reviews aren't lying.

These are long-lasting (the 650 mAh battery last about 8 hours, and I'm a heavy vaper), re-charge in about 3 hours when plugged into the wall, the tanks are easy to fill and clean and deliver strong vaper, a great throat hit (some of that is the juice), and darn good flavor for a top coil tank.

The tanks and batteries were designed to fit and perform together -- they are not generic ego batteries and T2 tanks, and it shows in their reliability and performance. I have been rocking mine for 2 straight months now without issue (with proper cleaning, the coil heads last for a good month and are easily changeable thereafter).

I smoked 2 packs of full flavor (Reds) a day for 30+ years, and I was able to walk away once I had the Triton Tank kit. The cig-alikes proived to me it could be done, while Halo's Triton Tanks paved the way, took my hand, and led me to being smoke free for good, and without second thoughts.

Coming from Reds, you would like Torque 56, Freedom Juice, and if you desires some sweetness, Tribeca. I also like the Turkish Tobacco, but some think it's a bit perfumy (it is, but in a good way with some ginger-notes to kick it up a bit). Halo's tobaccos are strong flavors, so you might wish to start with the sample pack to try them all out.

I hope this answers your questions.

Currently, Halo is out of the USB charger and Wall Charger (due back this Friday, and next Friday), hence the current Out of Stock notices at their site. They are worth the wait, if you can hold out with cig-alikes until then.

Never tried HALO myself, but I did try the cigalike route back in 2009. I couldn't get there. Tried the lightweight 650 mAh ego batteries in 2011 with the low nic juices out at that time (shopping mall kiosk), Couldn't make it. Enter 2103. Powerful long lasting batteries. 24 - 36 mg/ml juice. I was finally able to beat a 3 PAD, 35 year, habit that I had seriously tried to quit 18 times before. With the big guns, I was able to quit. That being said, I do realize that I was a seriously heavy smoker. A lighter smoker may do just fine on the HALO, believe me, I've heard many good stories about them. But, what I also hear, is that they usually upgrade somewhere along the line to the heavier ego/stick batts, then the mods (read Vamo), then wherever. I've made the full round myself now, and having a terrific time. Anyway, my two cents. Good luck, really glad you made it here. Vape On!

I have just started using Triton tanks and mini tanks from Halo, and I'm really impressed. I have not tried Halo batteries, but I do have a lot of 808 stuff from Smokeless Image, and the Halo stuff works great on them. I plan to order some of their batteries soon...especially the mini 400mAh batts, which are hard to come by in an 808 threading.

However, be aware that the KR-808d is not the most universal connection. You may find yourself drooling over things that just won't fit your setup.

Love Halo. I started on BLU, needed something more and found VEA, which still didn't cut it. Saw Smoken Joey's review of the Halo Triton on YouTube and ordered the kit. I smoked my last cigarette 5 days later. The combination of Halo's e-liquid, batteries and tanks makes it the best kit, or even delivery system you can buy. Once you go to a tank system, cartos become a think of the past- at least for me. The larger mods may be great for some, but not me. Almost bought a ProVari, but never could figure out what tanks to use, where to buy parts for them and really didn't want to spend time rebuilding things and dealing with leaky tanks. I'll wager the Triton with Halo's juice produces a cleaner taste, satisfying throat hit, comprable vapor production and trouble free vaping than any mod out there. I also like the size- even the VV batteries. Who wants vape from something the size of a Mag Light? Notice how those with mods end up with a lot of them? Maybe they simply can't put together the perfect delivery system like Halo has.

I smoked a pack of menthols a day for 20 years; Newports then American Spirit Menthol for the last 6-7 years. Tried Blu disposables to see if vaping had any merit. After those, I knew it could work but it would be a battle. Their Menthol Ice was sort of ok; more like non-offensive. I tasted a little bit of menthol after the exhale, and got zero throat hit. I figured I'd give their classic tobacco a try. Absolutely awful. I looked for reviews of stuff and found all the BS paid reviews. Then I searched for a forum and ended up here.

I bought a Halo Triton system and a bunch of 7ml Halo juices. From the first vape, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Part of that was getting lucky and picking out and trying the right juice first - Menthol Ice. It had all the flavor I wanted, and honestly a touch too much throat hit. I compensated for that by changing my technique.

I'm not saying the Triton will be perfect for you. Only you can decide that. I'm saying it was and pretty much still is perfect for me. My stuff arrived on a Thursday afternoon; I had one cigarette that night before bed, and 3 the next day (first thing in the morning, after dinner, and before bed). The only time I smoked afterward was two weeks later when I ran out of juice and had to bum cigarettes from my wife for a day. Those cigarettes were the worst thing I've tasted in so long. They tasted like inhaling camp fire and licking an ashtray. I dry heaved every drag during the last 4 or 5 cigarettes.

Everyone's different, but I really believe switching to vaping exclusively is all about finding the right gear and juices. If one's off, it'll be a lot tougher. It's been almost 2 months since I got my Halo stuff. I honestly never thought it would be easy. I get a craving for a cigarette every now and then, but nothing a few extra drags doesn't fix.

I'm getting ready to order a Vamo. It's not because my Triton stuff isn't cutting it; it's because I want to see what the next level is all about. If figure if I like the Triton this much, a Vamo could make things even better.

If you were a menthol smoker, you should order the menthol sampler pack. Throw in a few 7ml bottles of other stuff too. That's the only way to find out what you'll really like. Tiki Juice is a flavor I didn't think I'd care much for, but everyone raved about it at the time so I gave it a go. It's my favorite tasting flavor. But somehow, menthol ice is easily the most satisfying flavor for me.

Halo's the real deal. There's no guarantee you'll love their gear and/or juices, but it's definitely not Blu, Njoy and the like.

They've recently had problems keeping some things in stock. The chargers have been in and out of stock a lot, causing the starter kits to be out of stock too (can't sell a starter kit without chargers). The chargers are reportedly due in next Friday (a week from today).

I went through three of the blu disposables while considering vaping. I quit those and smoked a pack of winstons and a pack of american spirits while waiting for my halo g6 starter kit. haven't had a smoke in 11 days! I've been trying their tobacco sample pack and so far Torque seems to be where it's at for me. I also ordered a pre-filled pack of torque cartos so I could jump right in. Still figuring things out, but in my limited experience I like the Halo. good luck!

Once I made the decision to quit again, I started off on Volcano, with the Magma kit. 8mg was rough, I was smoking 1ppd Camel Blues (don't sell wides overseas). Batteries were cool to charge in the PCC, but soon I got tired of swapping, and filling baby clearo's. I upgraded to the Inferno kit, is what I'm currently using, with a Kanger evod. Just put in orders across a few websites, waiting for vape mail to arrive!

My point is, if YOU think this will work for you, and you feel you can easily afford it, GO FOR IT. Stick to your guns on quitting smoking, even if this kit you are looking at leaves you wanting to get something better in the future. It will be worth it. The best kit is the one that works for you!

Good luck!
