Been vaping for about 6 months now. Started with a vision spinner variable voltage battery with a protank 2. Shortly after the protank started leaking and gurgling. Was suggested to get a dbc davide as a replacement. Im happy with this tank. I ditched the spinner because of the inconsistent "hits". Went with a variable voltage/ wattage smok tech SID. Very happy with this mods with my davide. Ive been looking at different tanks. What are the "up sides" of having a rebuildable tank? Better flavor? Better vape? Please explain

Check out rebuilds on youtube. A easy one to build on is the Russian or kayfun. They are the same build. Cotton and micros coil are great. May take a few try's to get it right. You want to check your ohms before you start vaping so a ohm meter is needed. I know the sid has one but I like to have a ohm meter that doesn't fire when I check ohms. If you go this route don't dry burn cotton. Keep ohms 1.3 or up

The first upside to a rebuildable is you don't have to keep buying new atomizer heads all the time.
Recently for example, there have been lots of concerns over the quality control of the replacement coil heads for the protank type tanks; that could happen with any other nonrebuildable tank; people who are dependent on them might find themselves getting problems and wasting time trying all sorts of things not knowing that the coils are inferior.

With rebuildables you just get a roll of wire and wick and you replace your wick and wire when necessary or just because you feel like; its like changing oil in your own car instead of going someplace and have them put whatever cheap oil they happen to have at the time.

The second thing since you mention flavor: with rebuilding you get to choose your wick!! You might be happy with the standard cotton, or maybe you find the taste from steel mesh to be more pure; or maybe just like cotton; then there's people experimenting with ceramic.

Then there's compact coils ('microcoils') and chimney coils; you can make your coil however you like that you find works best for you; I guess maybe it's like adjusting your own carburetor and ignition points instead of buying a new one.

Sounds good; my only concern with the kayfun is it doesn't take the now standard 510 size tip, but alot of people like them.

As for the vamo V5, I think the head can come off and screw onto your kamry!
